The Sridevi fans like to use the title of "The Last Empress" so Madhuri and Juhi and all others are not given their dues.

What does "Empress" stand for? Royalty. Basically it means queen. There is a new queen every 4-7 years or so. After Sridevi there was Madhuri. After Madhuri there was Kajol and Karisma. Then came Aishwarya and Rani. Now it's Kareena.

Bebo is the current queen. She'll be the last if the world ends next year. Otherwise hold the throne for Anushka Sharma.

None of the 'queens' after her compare because none of them could hold up a film on their own like Sridevi could. Sridevi was actually above most of the heroes in terms of box office draw. Kareena might be considered the queen now and she is in terms of actresses but all her films are with top heroes like SRK, Salman, Aamir etc. The movies are based on the heroes not her roles. Same goes for every other queen before Kareena. The heroes were the drawcards firstly not the heroines even if they had good roles. Sridevi was unique that she was most of the time the drawcard not the hero. I'm not a sridevi fan (though I think shes a great actress) mainly for her off screen life but objectively no-one else has really compared to her after her reign.
