Is it safe to say BEBO is number 1? - Page 2

I don't really see the point in declaring anyone as number 1 at that moment...

Probably not. Its not safe to say anything on IF.

But in all actuality, the box office, the critics, the masses, the fashion lovers all have different number 1's. Kareena's a pretty good all rounder so i'll definitley say she sits in the cream of the crop.

Who is number one changes every week or every year for that matter. Even though Katrina has a better boxoffice pull than kareena...what makes a number #1 actress is who has the biggest hit of the year. Kareena was #1 actress at the time of 3 idiots because that was the biggest hit of that year. Now it's obvious that the film was a hit because of Amir, but that still doesn't take away the fact that kareena was in 3 idiots and it was the biggest hit which makes her #1. So it's too early to tell right now. What is katrina's movies that are releasing or have released this year. Correct me if am wrong...she only had ZNMD this year right. And her next film is MBKD. And I think that's all she has this year. And kareena has Ra.One and bodyguard...ZNMD was just a hit not a blockbuster...and kareena has a huge chance of getting a blockbuster with these two films because she has Salman and SRK in her film. So I think the #1 actress of this year is def gonna be Kareena. But let's see what happens.

According to boxoffice India Kareena has been the #1 actress since 2007 up to 2009 back to back for 3 idiots, JWM, Golmaal Returns. They haven't updated the 2010 list. 2010 must be Sonashi for Dabangg...but am not sure if she will be on the list as she is a newcomer. So it must be kareena again for Golmaal 3 since that was a bigger hit than Katrina's Rajneeti.

I find it really really unfortunate, that the lead actress and her ranking depends on who the MAN is in the movie.

Nice topic by the way goneforever. Kat and Kareena have always been head to head with who has the biggest hit. Katrina might not be kareena's competition in terms of talent...but they both give each other a competition in terms of who has the biggest boxoffice hit. It's obvious like I said above Katrina has the BIGGER box office pull...but kareena also played her cards right with films like GR, Golmaal 3, 3 idiots and now bodyguard and ra.one and am sure her film with amir would be a huge hit too. It's too soon to tell now who will be #1 but I have a feeling it would be kareena again. It's funny how boxoffice india never declared Katrina #1 on their list when she is the one with most hits..I guess kareena got lucky.

This number one game shouldn't be taken seriously though. It's like a phase. It use to be srk with the biggest hits but now it's salman who has the biggest hits. We also need a topic on who will be the #1 actor. ;)

Kareena is the second cuz she has bigger banners and costars guaranteeing ATBBs (BG is the begginning)

But PC has a nice line up- her scripts have more quality!..I liked her a lot in agneepath promos and it looked like old PC is back.

Business is brought in by the male stars..The industry depends on the money that can be generated by the superstars..whether it was Rajesh Khanna,Amitabh..Khans... Kumars etc.

You could interchange a Sharmila with a Mumtaz in any Rajesh film..it would still have been a hit..who cares if there was Zeenat..Parveen or Hema in any of the Amitabh films...would it have altered anything.3 idiots could have had Genelia..would it have made a difference?Don 2 would have been no less exciting with Ash or Bebo..

In every era there are 3 or four top heroines who get to act opposite the superstars according to availability of dates...Each will get 1 or 2 films in their careers to showcase their talent and the film perhaps becomes a semihit at the boxoffice and they are content with that..

I find Kat to be a good actor, and I think she will maintain her no.1 position with 2 yashraj movies coming up, one of those is directed by yash copra himself, an actress always dreams to be in a yash chopra directorial movie and this only proves her star power!

There are very few actresses who are given the credit for bringing in the crowd..business is mainly brought in by the males. The females BENEFIT from the hits, but aren't truly considered responsible FOR the hits..does that make sense? LOL it makes snese in my head but I dunno if I said it right..

Katrina is the only one who is considered to be a BIG factor in why people come to watch a movie. She has a much bigger BO pull than any of her contemporaries. She can't act to save her life but hey she can get the crowd to show up. After Madhuri, I think she's the only one give the majority of the credit for her hits.

Would Bodyguard, 3Idiots make any less money if Kareena was not in it? I HIGHLY doubt it.

Basically, solely on BO standing, it's Katrina..acting + BO status, then Kareena.
