Hilary Duff
Banked $100,000
For NOT Appearing in Movie
A preggo HIlary Duff scored a GIANT golden parachute after getting dumped from the new "Bonnie and Clyde" movie -- a severance deal worth $100,000 ... all for doing nothing.
Sources close to production tell TMZ, it's all in Hilary's play-or-pay contract -- if for some reason, production decides to terminate the actress' employment ... they'll cough up the six-figure sum to compensate her.
As we previously reported, Duff was dropped from the flick after she got knocked up.
We're told the search is still on for a Bonnie replacement -- Amanda Seyfried was approached to fill the role ... but she turned it down.
Over the weekend, Duff was volunteering at the Los Angeles Mission's 75th End Of Summer Block Party -- when we asked about the situation.
Duff told TMZ, "I dont wanna give them any more press than they've already gotten off me ... I think [my] baby is a little bit more exciting."

As most of you know, Aish has been facing flack for getting knocked up and producers of the movie 'Heroine' haven't shied away from speaking out against her. I stayed away from those topics dealing with the drama (and there were tons!) because I have no knowledge of the legalties of both parties. At one hand, I am in favour of women having the right to get pregnant, on the other hand I can sympathize with lost revenue. Now I think after reading something similar in Hollywood, I am leaning more in support of Aish. I am no fan of Ash in any way, shape, or form. I cringe at most of her performances. To me she has always just been a pretty face whom I found vapid at times. At the same time can let go of my bias to consider the possibility that she wasn't as much fault as we blame her for. Even I can admit that she was mistreated. Maybe she has full rights and the producers are exaggerating? Does Hilary's outcome change your opinion on this issue? Not only did she not get reprimanded and public backlash, she also got money to NOT appear in the movie. We're talking big money too. Aish recently returned her signing bonus and according to some members she has full rights under the law to keep it and demand money for the work she did do on the movie. Of course, I'm no lawyer and wouldn't know about that. So is Aish still to blame? Yes? No?
