'I wanna get Kareena on my show' - Preity

Talk shows are a popular item on television, with Karan Johar's coffee and Simi Garewal's Rendezvous the audience will now see Preity Zinta playing the host on 'UP CLOSE & PERSONAL with PZ'.

"This chat show has many cameras set up so you see it is a very expensive show. I have asked a few celebrities to come on my show and even UTV helped me get the guests. It is a fun and frolic kind of a show and I have decided to avoid all the gossip. We have brought in the past of the stars, but in a different way. Fans always like to know the other side of their heroes," says Preity.

And when we ask her about the fees, Preity says, "I have charged a bomb which I will not like to disclose. Let it be a secret."

Coming onto the small screen, Preity has no intentions of dethroning her best friend and the host of one of the best chat shows. "Karan Johar is the best chat show host and I have no guts to dethrone him. He is spectacular in chatting and extracting every bit from the guests on his show. However, I have not taken any tips from him. I have sincerely put in a lot of hard work in finding out the details of the actors," says PZ.

And here is the most interesting bit of the show. It will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies and efforts are being made to rope in Salman Khan as one of the key guests on the show. Preity says, "In the industry, we all are friends. I have tried to get Salman Khan for the show and you will surely see him as a part of it."

For now only time will tell of Sallu will really be interested in being a part of SRK's venture.
Coming to the guests, Preity Zinta discloses her memorable moments on the show.

Speaking about King Khan she says, "I came to know a very shocking secret about my close friend Shah Rukh Khan on this chat show. He told me that 'Not many are aware of the fact that I used to participate in the Ram Lila show organised during Dusherra where I would play the Bandar (monkey).'"

Next on she reveals a secret of another of her best friends. "Akshay disclosed that before joining the film industry he worked as assistant to Jayesh Seth. Chatting with Akki I felt he is a very down to earth person and also came to know more about his distorted life, especially when he spoke about his father with moist eyes. I understood how emotional Akki is from within; it is really touching to know how a celebrity has rose up from the ashes," says Preity.

Apart from actors, we ask PZ we there will be any female actors on the show. She says, "If we have to get females on the chat show then I will surely get Kareena Kapoor on my show. Kareena and I have turned friends now. Saif is also a good friend of mine so we have buried the hatchet and we are foes turned friends now."

As an actor Preity Zinta has seen a lot of ups and downs in her career. Turning nostalgic she states, "It is not a joke for us Indian actors as we have to prove our worth with every film we do. One film becomes a flop and down we go, falling and rising up again takes a lot of efforts, unlike the Hollywood film actors who keep going strong."
