Actually there are set of movies for certain public and another type of movies for " Thinkers " !

Personally, I hate illogical comedies of Akki and Sallu and total Masala type movies ! For Example, Singh is King was so bad movie, I hated myself for wasting my money and time in theatre for that ! No offense to that movie lovers and actors fan but I didn't like it at all ! There was no single point of logic in that ! I had to take disprin after movie and another one for which I hated myself was Golmaal...god ! After 1st part, I did not even watch other 3 or 4 parts, I don't even know how much parts have released ! 😆

For me, story with fun, comedy, Masala can work but no logic and just few stupid jokes ! No chance, they surely makes me think, why the hell they made it ? 😆

But as I said, another off beat movies are too good (though they are "Inspired" from hollywood😆)

Like,

Taare Zameen Par, Chak De India, Swades, A Wednesday, Shurya, Rang De Basanti, Black Friday, Shaitan, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Aamir, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Chain Kuli Ki Main Kuli...

There are list of movies which are just too good, amazing and brilliant !

But, these kind of movies are just for " Thinkers " and not for those who want entertainment at any cost !

P.S. I loved Jodhaa Akbar ! Technically, it was best and it makes a lot and lot more effort to make such movies ! I loved that movie, though it was lil long but Hrithik was just BEST in that movie !

I leave my thinking cap off for hindi movies.. i only watch the comedy/masala movies.. family drama sometimes.. i avoid the political/social movies abt corrupt india..

There are a lot of movies recently that make me think...W*F. A lot!

And there are a few that actually make me "think". Examples: Dhobi Ghat, Shor in the city, Shaitan, 3 idiots, MNIK, Swades, Udaan...blahblahblah...

Munnabhai was great, entertainment pus thought, dabaang( well there are things there,(if u neglect the OTT cinematic drama), it made me think how different two parts of the same country are and the harsh reality of places in north-western Indian, chak de India made me think, so not quite agreeing with the topic opener, there are movies which make me think.

Okay, put your thinking caps on. Or do we ever when watching a Bollywood movie? Good critical movies do come out from time to time...they aren't the most popular but they still are there

But, don't you want a Bollywood movie to test your brain cells? No not really...I mainly watch movies that make me laugh and will entertain me

People want entertainment, but it should be sensible and not ridiculous like Akshay Kumar's mindless comedies or Salman's masala flicks. Why should a movie be sensible? There's entertainment with logic and there's also entertainment without logic, as silly as it sounds...BW directors are catering to both types, but obviously the public prefers the second

If a Bollywood movie did release and made you think, what was it? It would have to be Kalyug
