Behind every successful man, they say is a woman. Looks like the same woman has just managed to salvage a show for a leading general entertainment channel as well. Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, who had a fight at Dutt's wife Maanyata's birthday bash last month, have finally kissed and made up.
Thanks to Salman's manager Reshma Shetty. The lady seems to have drilled sense into the actors and helped them patch up a couple of days back, before Dutt flew out to Bangkok to shoot for David Dhawan's Rascals.
Salman Khan had serious second thoughts about co-hosting Bigg Boss 5. In fact, his family members too felt that he should withdraw from the show (Mumbai Mirror, July 28). Khan has now confirmed with the broadcasters of the show that he has no problems sharing stage with Sanjubaba.
Surprisingly the peacemaker isn't a common friend, but Salman's manager Reshma Shetty. A quick recap: Reshma Shetty was the woman who single-handedly turned around Salman Khan's career graph over the last two years.
Mumbai Mirror, on August 27, 2010 reported how Reshma made Sallu give up his 'dildaar' ways and realign his business operations. "Reshma has clearly told Salman that dosti se zindagi nahin banti, professionalism and money are important," said a source.
In fact, it was Reshma who had finalised the Bigg Boss deal for Sanjay Dutt. After Salman Khan recommended Dutt as the show anchor, Reshma had come into the picture. And since then, it was herwho had taken the deal forward.
However, the deal also required Salman to co-host the first few episodes alongside Sanju. Reshma is the channel's single point of contact for both the actors. Needless to say, she is entitled to an impressive percentage of commission from the channel as well.
If Khan opted out of the show, the deal would have suffered. And so, Reshma intervened. A source from the TV industry said, "What Reshma did was very matured. Frankly, it was not only because she would have suffered a setback but also because it would have been rather bad for the industry.
Salman and Sanju are extremely talented and popular, people just love to see them together. Bigg Boss 5should be a treat." And now, the two actors are all set to shoot the first episode for the show in September.
When contacted, Dharam Oberoi, CEO of Sanjay Dutt Productions said, "Sanju and Salman are like brothers. They are going to do Bigg Boss 5 together. They will also do another kickass project together very soon."
Sanjay Dutt too, told Mumbai Mirror, "There was no problem between Salman and me. Kuch hua hi nahi tha. So what's there to sort out?"
