Ask any film enthusiast and he is bound to term Jab We Met as the most definitive performance of Kareena Kapoor till date. As Geet she gave a terrific account of herself and proved that she had it in her to deliver goods when aided by a powerhouse script. No wonder the makers of Bodyguard are confident that with the film Kareena would be seen in full form.

"Just like the plain Jane that Kareena played in Jab We Met, even in Bodyguard she would be seen as a girl next door. What audience loved about Kareena in the Imtiaz Ali directed love story was the fact that she lived and breathed Geet. Now they can be rest assured about Kareena making a smooth transition into Divya for Bodyguardsince she was bowled over by her characterisation in the film", says a friend of Kareena.

One hopes this is truly the case. Though four years since the arrival of Jab We Met Kareena has been seen in 10 odd films, she is still remembered most for her iconic performance as Geet. Now this is no mean feat considering the fact that there have been huge money-spinners like 3 Idiots, Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3 that have released in the interim. Still, Jab We Met stays on to be on the top of everyone's mind.

"Yes, all of us have been aware of that from the very beginning", acknowledges Atul Agnihotri who approached Kareena to play the leading lady in his debut production, "However once she saw the Malayalam version of Bodyguard she was quite bowled over. She knew that here was an opportunity to step into a very powerful role. I can assure you that she has definitely gone one up over Jab We Met with Bodyguard."

He adds that another reason why Kareena would leave a very strong impression as Divya despite towering presence of Salman Khan is the fact that she is quite good with her language and diction.

"When you would see the film, you would realise that not just is Kareena's part extremely performance oriented, it is also very verbose", 🤣 continues Atul, "You can't have a lesser actress, who is not in command with her Hindi, play such a character. She is very well spoken and understands the nuances. Guess there is where the Kapoor khandaan lineage comes into play. I am telling you, these guys know their job well."

Guess Kareena now has one more fan added to her list.

whenever a director says "bebo has a gr8 role/performance oriented role", it actually means that shes either playing a flowerpot or a biatch...

Kambakth ishq's director said that...
Karan johar said that for WAF, K3G
Anubhav sinha said that for Ra.one
And now this guy...

sigh...😆

i love a scene from promo, when sallu keeps his hand on side of bebo and ask "kya tum mujhse sacha pyar karti ho na, majaak toh nahin..." ... bebo looks as how sallu is keeping his hands just like touching edges... beary cute scene...

i m dieing 2 see "TERI MERI" song... siddiqui is on my fav director list now...

Well to whatever extent ppl out there diss Pooja in K3G ,its 'THAT' role which made the audience sit up and notice Bebo..Commercial success is equally important..After a flop debut like Refugee it was K3G and Poo which gave Kareena a much needed boost as far as star avlue is concerned

Also however poorly scripted and directed Waf may be,it was one movie I thought both my fav actresses stood out with their excellent perfomances

If u ask some one away from the eworld their choice of memorable Kareena roles would be -K3g,Jab we met 3 idiots

No necessarily chameli or ashoka

the reason why i think that she did well in jab we met is cause she already has that type of personality... she didn't really have o adopt a different persona...

I don't think her role in Bodyguard is anything like JWM. JWM was one of kareena's best...and I don't think she will give another geet in a film like Bodyguard...from the promos it didn't seem so.
