| | | Back again after Viruddh: Sanjay Dutt and Anusha Dandekar | Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi's jodi created magic as Munnabhai and Circuit in Munnabhai MBBS. The second time they came together (Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi, where Sanjay played a Yamraj and Arshad played a Fakir), they did not have a single scene together.
Currently they are working together in the sequel of Munnabhai MBBS, which is tentatively titled Lagey Raho Munnabhai and will be completed in the next fifteen days.
Come February 15 and they will start shooting for Nikhil Panchamiya's (Dil Maange More) second independent production, to be directed by Raj Kaushal (Shaadi Ka Ladoo). Aao guess karein
The film will have two leading ladies — Minnisha Lamba and Anusha Dandekar. Soumik Sen, a journalist with a leading daily, has written the script. Says Kaushal, "Nikhil and I go a long way back. We started our careers almost together."
The film is a whodunit thriller, with an element of comedy. Kaushal is unwilling to dwell on the storyline as he feels that will spoil the fun of a thriller. "Nobody will be able to guess what's going to happen next and especially, the end. When contacted, Warsi told hitList, "I am very happy and excited that I will be working with Sanju again. He is the best man I have met in my life. No complexes, no interference, extremely caring and absolutely chilled out. He works simply for the film, and therefore the output is great."
Interestingly, Warsi asked to Sanjay Dutt to do the film. "I asked him and he said 'Anything for you, Arshad'."
Warsi says he'll be playing someone who forges documents. "I get embroiled in trouble and a hitman is after my ass. It's a terrific script. When I first heard it, I freaked out," and signed off by saying, "It will be fun to work with Kaushal. My wife, Maria Goretti and his wife Mandira Bedi, toured South Africa for a cricket assignment, together. So we know each other quite well now. That way, we knew each other even before the South Africa tour. Raj stays in Bandra and I used to stay in Bandra before. We used to hang out together with common friends."
Shooting for Kaushal and Panchamiya's venture starts in Bangkok. "The whole film will be shot in one schedule," Kaushal informs. |
