| The Disney characters perform live at InOrbit Mall, Malad |
Disney Channel presented Disney Magic, a 35-minute music and dance extravaganza, at the Inorbit Mall at Malad over the weekend.
As Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Chip n Dale performed it was a sight to see not just the kids but adults as well. It was a jamboree of sorts with plenty of games and merchandise stalls which added to the festivities and celebrations.
The ever-cheerful stars forged ahead full steam with the Disney classic Feel the Magic and then rocked on with dance hit Hot Hot Hot. This was followed by Jumpin' Jam, an original Disney song creation besides some Bollywood chartbusters. After all that dancing, ecstatic kids and their families got their moment when they got the opportunity to meet the Disney stars.
Akki-Sallu: Biryani ka jadoo chal gaya
We heard this directly from an eye-witness or we wouldn't have believed it. All is well on the sets of Janeman between Salman and Akshay. They seem to have buried their personal differences in view of their professional commitments.
Our khabru was in Filmistan on the set of the Akshay-Salman starrer at around dinner time, and Sallu bhai sent across a plate of home-made biryani for Akki. We hope it was Veg biryani, cause AK doesn't eat food with a face. Now this dosti would be complete if Punjabi munda Akshay brings parathas for Sallu next.

Grooving with Celina
We spotted Celina Jaitley in high spirits with a bunch of friends including her current beau Sean at the Marriott in the wee hours of Saturday.
We don't know what she was celebrating (the release of Jawaani Diwaani?) but she did a bit of a jig — even strummed an imaginary guitar while dancing.
The actress stuck to Sean and was heard saying aloud that someone had thrown a cigarette butt in her drink! Even though she appeared to be a tad high, she knew exactly what she was gulping down!
John swears by Seema Biswas' work
After receiving rave reviews for Deepa Mehta's Water at Toronto, Seema Biswas has now been signed for the Barjatyas' latest film. Unfortunately, the brilliant actress has broken her arm, (while shooting for a South film), though that doesn't deter her from her work.
She's currently a guest at the NSD festival which is her alma mater. After working with her, John Abraham has been swearing by her "She's the best actress I know" he's been saying. Ironically, she keeps a low profile in this industry of aggressive artistes despite the fact that every performance of hers has fetched her an award nomination, if not the award itself.
Rang De Britain
Rang De Basanti is releasing a day earlier in the UK than the worldwide release. Aamir's big release after Mangal Pandey, releases here on the 20th of January but our desi counterparts will be able to enjoy the film in advance.
In the UK, the film will preview on the 19th as there is no other big release in the first month of the year and the exhibitors suggested they prepone the film. So Aamir will be having his Friday jitters (sounds like an exotic cocktail, don't it?) on Thursday.
