Who makes ACTING effortless and look EASY? - Page 4

I guess we all think only our favorites can make it look effortless not others. Since most of us, including me named our favorites.

But I left out SRk, I don't know why. 😕

^ agree. I think people become our favourites because we see their characters as a part of who they are, and i think each person has a certain standard that only certain actors and actresses meet. And standards dont imply 'better acting' and 'crappier acting'. But more so the different interpretations of the same thing.

^ yeah everyone has different preference. To me Katrina might be a bad actress, to others she might be a great actress.

Can we discuss SRk. Do people think he makes it look effortless? Am not sure about him. His my favorite actor, but I don't think I named him in my list. Wonder why. When I read the tittle effortless, he totally didn't pop in my head! Am totally confused about him!

^ in limited genres, but yeah, I think SRK gives off an air of like, carefree acting.

^ he is a favourite of mine too for a long time. But again, i never felt like Shah Rukh made acting look natural. Even if he did a good and convincing job, you could tell that this lover boy role is again a role that he plays. Konkona has never been a favourite for me, but she certainly does an impressive job familiarizing with her role to the point that you forget shes acting.

I agree with both of you guys. SRk tends to just play the lover boy that comes to him easily. And he tends to be lazy esp in his comedy films. But I did see an effort in films like Devdas and his negative roles he played like Bazigaar and probably Darr too. He was good in MNIK too. I totally believed his character was not normal. I forgot what disease/disability he had, but I think he pulled it off well. It wasn't perfect, but it was believable.

I was never a huge fan of Konkena either, but because she makes acting look so effortless, I became a fan lol. I agree, when she gets into her character, it doesn't seem like she is acting at all. She has amazing screen presence too! I love watching her on screen! Wish she did more movies though. :(

I love Kareena. But she gets on my nerves when she becomes lazy. The girl is talented and wastes her talent by choosing silly roles. Seriously if she picks good roles, I think she will leave all her competition behind because I believe she is the most talented actress in bollywood right now. She is versatile and can do any role I believe. Be it bubbly roles like JWM, intense/drama roles like CHameli and Omkara, and commercial/glam roles too.

I got really disappointed with a lot of her roles in her early years. She was totally lazy. But than she did Chameli, and OMG...that girl is such a natural. People say her JWM wasn't challenging for her because she did those kind of roles before. But the reason she was appreciated in JWM so much than her films like MPKD, was because of the script and the director. And she also put an effort into her acting. She even said it on KWK, in films like Golmaal she doesn't take acting too seriously, but in films like Chameli, Omkara, and JWM, she has to plan ahead of time in her head how she is gonna perform that scene. And it shows when she puts an effort into her acting.

Her JWM role might be similar to her other roles, but she played it so differently and naturally...no wonder ppl go ga ga over her in this film! No overacting, no cringeworthy scenes, just perfect. I didn't see kareena in that film, I saw Geet. She was totally amazing in Chameli too. If you watch that film, you don't see kareena at all.

SRK can actually act given the right director and right script. His earlier films and films likes Swades and Chak De! India showed he has potential. But when you see him doing movies like OSO, RNBDJ, MHN, one tends to think he is a limited actor. I enjoyed him in Dil Se too, he excels in those crazy, weird, stalking kind of roles. 😆
