Esha Deol to revive Sholay magic

They say that girls follow their mother's footsteps. Esha Deol seems to be taking this very literally. In a few days, for her upcoming film Tell Me O Khuda, the actress will groove to the song Jab Tak Hai Jaan, from the blockbuster Sholay.

The dance number that went on to become a hit because of her mother Hema Malini's unforgettable performance.

Hema, who is producing and acting in the film, will buy the rights of the song in question before commencing shooting for the song. The song will not be a part of the film but only appear during the end credit roll.

A source confirmed, "The details are fast being worked out. A call is yet to be taken on including Dharmendra and Hema in the song as well. But Esha is definitely dancing to Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Shooting will commence in a few days."

The doting mother, however, was not very keen on putting pressure on Esha to re-enact the song. The source revealed, "That song had Dharmendra tied up by Amjad Khan. Why should Esha take the burden of a song which had both her parents in it?"

Esha, though, is very excited to do the number. The source added, "They wanted a song in the end. This song from Sholay is one of Esha's favourites.

She is confident that she can pull it off. Let's not forget that she is a trained and accomplished dancer."

Esha and Hema remained unavailable for comment.
