Cannes may have been awash in Hindi movie glamour, but the truth is that Bollywood is hardly a blip on the radar of world cinema and culture

bollywood is the cinema produced in one state in India. There is no reason for it to be on the world radar, and it shouldn't matter if Cannes isnt falling on bollywoods feet. I myself am proud with how far bollywood has come in terms of world recognition, considering that its just one of indias many industries.

Well if BW made more films like Udaan and less like TMK I think the world would appreciate BW cinema more...But I rather the world appreciate INDIAN cinema...b/c there are loads of amazing Benegali, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, and so many other regional films...I hope those films can be noticed on the broad scale too!
