Bollywood star Salman Khan wants to show 'Chillar Party', his first venture under his banner Salman Khan Being Human Productions, to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni.

'I want to show this film to Ambika Soni to make it tax free. Let's see if that happens,' Salman told reporters here Friday night.

The actor had come to launch the first promo of the film that will release July 8 and is his co-production with UTV. It has been helmed by first-time directors Nitesh Tiwari and Vikas Bahl.

'Chillar Party' is a film about a gang of innocent yet feisty kids from Chandan Nagar in whose lives enter two strangers. The film describes how things revolve around their lives.

Khan, on being asked whether he would produce more films under his banner, said: 'We will produce more films. When we get good scripts and good films to make, we will definitely produce them.'

New Delhi: 'Dabangg' superstar, the hot 'n' sexy Salman Khan, along with the UTV team, was in town this Tuesday, for a special screening of his film 'Chillar Party'. This exclusive screening, was organised for the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ambika Soni.

And, if you're wondering, why a special screening for Mrs. Soni? Well, guess Salman is trying all that he can, to make his movie 'Tax Free' so that, more number of people can go and catch the movie in the theatres and all these efforts are definitely looking fruitful.

When asked, why the name 'Chillar Party'? Salman, in his trademark witty style said, "Children are called 'chillar' in Hindi and because the movie is based on them so, that's how came the name."

Salman's promotional antics didn't quite go in vain, for Mrs. Soni seemed pretty happy post the screening. "It's a very nice movie. Few people attempt to make such kind of cinema and Salman has done a great job. Movie shows, how determined kids are. They are full of passion and want to achieve so much in their lives. If kids in our country keep on working hard in their lives, then our country will definitely reach great heights. I would ask each and every kid to go and watch this movie once," exclaimed Ambika.

Talking about Salman's main motive to come down to Delhi, all the way from Mumbai, Ambika said, "I will definitely talk to other Ministers, so that we can make the movie tax free but, I alone can't take any decision."

Well, we can only wish Salman, best of luck! Here's hoping that your wish is granted and we get to see a tax free 'Chillar Party'. What say Mrs. Soni?

The actor had a personal and emotional reason for co-producing a children's film

If Salman Khan's emotional reasons are any indication, it seems like film Chillar Party is his tribute to his pet bullmastiffs, Myson and Myjaan.

The actor, who's foraying into production with his banner, Salman Khan Being Human (SKBH) Productions, reveals that he loved the film so much that he wanted to take it over from the producers, UTV.

"But there were certain technicalities. Besides, Ronnie Screwvala wanted UTV to be involved as they have worked hard in making the movie," says Salman, who decided to be associated as the co-producer.

"When the film does well, my share goes to Being Human Foundation."

A moving film
Talking about the emotional connect, the actor states, "Chillar Party reminds us of the emotions we felt as kids and we have forgotten with age."

He asserts that the film, about a group of kids and their pet "is most amazing". Recalling his bachpan ke din when he had a pet rabbit, he says, "When he died, I cried for a week. Later, I had two dogs, Lapsy and Rover, in Indore and Mumbai.

When they died, I was sad for a few weeks." Adds that after his bullmastiffs passed away, "I could relate to the story of this film. When the kids' pet dies, they take on a politician who wants to use them as an issue for his selfish gains."

Why production?
Considering that there are already two production companies in the family, headed by his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz, what prompted him to venture with a third company? "So that it's a part of Being Human," retorts the actor. "Whatever profit the company makes, goes straight into the charitable foundation.

Not a single paisa from the earnings goes into my pocket. Main to phate t-shirt mein bhi theek hoon," he quips, proudly showing of his grey t-shirt that is torn around the neck.

However, the neo-producer has no plans of churning out a fixed number of movies under his banner. "Either I've to really like the film or I need to believe that the script is in essence with SKBH Productions. It should connect to the heart," he says matter-of-factly.

Salman shoots for special promos for Chillar Party

Salman Khan seems to be following the footsteps of his dear friend Aamir Khan. Recently, Aamir shot a special promo forDelhi Belly a film which he is producing. Now Salman too has gone ahead and shot exclusive promos for his first home production Chillar Party.

Even though Sallu doesn't feature in the film, he felt that featuring in a promo with the kids will only help in creating the right buzz for the film. The promo has Salman engaging in a humorous dialogue with the kids in a witty manner.

The actor has also given his most famous trade mark shot in which he removes his shirt much to the excitement of his fans. What's more, the 'chillar party' kids who shot with him have also chosen to abandon their shirts just like their favourite Sallu bhai. In the promo, the kids show off their bodies along with Salman Khan while he smiles away.

The promos are interestingly shot and are said to be extremely funny especially when Salman Khan gets into dialogues with all the kids individually from Encyclopaedia to Jhangiya, Akram, Secondhand, Panauti, Silencer, Aflatoon, Shaolin and Fatka.

These kids address Salman with witty come backs and leave him all surprised.

Chillar Party releases on 8th July, 2011 and Salman proudly claims that the movie is super fun ride and the audiences will fall in love with the kids.

Salman Khan isn't known to rely on heavy publicity to grab people's attention. But when a film happens to be a small-budget fare featuring only little kids, even Salman Khan has to go an extra mile to make sure that people watch it.

The film we are talking about is Chillar Party, Salman's first project as a producer. Unlike the films he himself stars in, Chillar Party is made on a skimpy budget and doesn't have much star value save for an item number "Tai Tai Fisss" by Ranbir Kapoor. But the film's story revolving around a bunch of feisty kids has won Salman's heart. That's the primary reason he co-produced it with Ronie Screwvala.

Now, since the coming days and weeks would see the release of a slew of films featuring popular names like Amitabh Bachchan, Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan and many more, Salman Khan is making sure that his first production Chillar Party doesn't go unnoticed.

The superstar has been taking personal interest in the promotion of the film, even though he hasn't acted in it. He himself has conceptualized certain promos (including the one in which he takes off his shirt with the kids), and has already gone to Delhi to show the movie to the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ambika Soni.

Salman isn't known to hold special screenings of his films for politicians, but for Chillar Party he not just made an exception but also requested Mrs. Soni to make 'Chillar Party' tax free.

Now, we hear that Salman is taking out a few precious days from his diary to promote Chillar Party days before its release on July 8. Since the film clashes with the big budget Murder 2, it needs a face like Salman's to pull the crowds to theatres.

Rest assured that Salman, the producer, will be there for the Chillar Party.
