Shahid's Heer Ranjha shelved!

Shahid Kapoor's ambitious project Heer Ranjha is in trouble once again. It has been in the news for the past few months.

First the love story was to star his on-and-off girlfriend Priyanka Chopra. Then there were talks of Sarah Jane Dias, Anushka Sharma and Nargis Fakhri being considered to play the role. However now, the film has been shelved.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, it is learnt, is not happy with the way the second half of the story has developed. Hence he has decided to drop the period romance altogether and make another film starring Shahid, since he already has the actor's dates.

Sajid confirms, "It is true that Heer Ranjha is on hold right now. We are working with Shahid on a different venture. The announcement on this will come soon."

Deepika refused the film and after that it didn't really go on because they couldn't find a suitable heroine. I really want to see Shahid and Deepika together😍.. but I'm glad they aren't doing Sahbir's film...he made Kambhaqt Ishq

shahid and sajid was too excited for deepika to do the movie and they announced it too early. Shahid saying "I'm working with deepika in heer ranjha." But after she rejected the movie....it's sad that the movie is shelved. They could've chosen amrita rao, genelia or some girl that will match perfect with shahid

Yeah I remember this long interview with mid-day Sabhir gave saying how *perfect* Deepika was for the film. Shahid said on three ocassions that he would soon be working with DP and now it's shelved.. Ajaab dastaan hai yeh! I am hoping for a Shahid-Deepika film with a GOOD director. Fingers crossed!
