Sonakshi wants publicity with Katrina's name!

The whole game of pitting actress Sonakshi Sinha against actress Katrina Kaif took a new turn when it was reported that Sinha was the most searched Indian female celebrity on the internet. Apparently, it is not true!

Recently, news broke on leading websites that one-film-wonder Sinha had toppled A-lister heroines like Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra by being the most searched celebrity on a website for the year 2011.

But when DNA got in touch with the actor's publicists, they denied knowledge of any survey like that.

"We are not aware of any survey like that, and we haven't given out any such press release on behalf of Sinha (claiming that she has toppled Kaif , Chopra, Sonam Kapoor and Rai-Bachchan)," says her manager.

Interestingly, the internet survey that claimed that Sinha has been crowned the most searched celebrity is not even available online. DNA got in touch with the representatives of the website which had reportedly conducted the survey.

"We haven't put the survey up on our homepage yet, and we have never claimed that she is the most searched celebrity on the internet. We claimed that she is the most searched celebrity on our website and that too for the month of March. It's an ongoing process where we tabulate who's the most searched celebrity on our website. This has got nothing to do with the entire cyberspace," says a representative of the website.

Also, the searches were made by users in India and not abroad.
So, how has it gone down with Kaif who had been reportedly rated as the most searched star on the internet earlier?

"Katrina was upset with Sonakshi, but now she's not bothered. For her, she is like this kid who trying to playfully bite her because she wants to be her. Katrina knows that Sonakshi is trying her best to be in the news, but she is not upset anymore with her. She knows that it's another ploy to stay in the news. And yes, she is not going to respond to her text messages or calls," says a close friend of the star.
