Dum Maaro Dum Preview

Plot: Prateik Babbar's life starts spiralling out of control when his scholarship to a US university gets rejected. Police officer Abhishek Bachchan begins his ruthless, relentless campaign and takes on the murky drug world in Goa. Local musician Rana Daggubati is a mute spectator to what is happening around him. Aspiring airhostess Bipasha Basu's dreams have turned to dust. Ruthless local businessman Aditya Pancholi finds himself pushed to the extreme limit with Abhishek Bachchan's arrival and turns to the mysterious drug kingpin.

Star cast: Abhishek Bachchan has had three back-to-back box-office debacles, Raavan, Khelein Hum jee Jaan Sey and the latest shame… sorry, Game.
Bipasha Basu: Bipasha also has had a very bad year, what with disasters like Aakrosh, Lamhaa and Pankh. Also starring: Prateik Babbar, Rana Daggubati, Aditya Pancholi.

Promotion of Dum Maaro Dum: Very good; although Dev Anand's super hit dum maaro dum song used in this film has been 'mauled' so as to hurt the sensibilities of the more orthodox audience, its picturisation on Deepika Padukone is an ace up their sleeve. Whatever opening Dum Maaro Dum takes, Dev Anand's song and Deepika's dance will have a major part to play.

Expectations: Expectations of the youth are quite high in spite of Abhishek Bachchan's rough patch.
