Shahid Kapoor's new flick with Tips not a remake o

These days film industry is abuzz with the news that Producer Ramesh Taurani's upcoming flick with Shahid Kapoor is a remake of Hollywood hit Knight and Day. However, producer and director of this film do not agree with this news and claiming it to be original one.

Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips gave Shahid Kapoor's career a kick-start in 2003 when he launched him in Ishq Vishk. Now, Taurani is continuing his good relationship with Shahid as he has roped in the actor to play the lead in his next action film, which will be directed by Kapoor's close friend Siddharth Anand.

The film industry is with the speculation that the film is the remake of the Hollywood hit Knight and Day, starring Tom Cruise. Director Siddharth Anand denies the rumours about its similarity to the Hollywood movie. He tells, "No, Tips has got nothing to do with Knight and Day. We are making an original film. It's a different genre altogether. Shahid's film is an all out action flick."

Moreover, this will be the first time Anand and Shahid are working together. The film will be vital for both Taurani and Anand as their last ventures, Prince and Anjana Anjani respectively, failed to blaze the box-office.

Producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed to the Mumbai Mirror that the film will start production soon, but declined to give details. "It is too early though to give any details as nothing has been finalized," he said.
