Ever since the couple called it quits there have been various stories about how and what happened between the two. But it is Mumbai Mirror that finally gets you the juice.

A source close to the actor said, "Shahid is extremely upset over the recent reports in the media about how he is trying to woo Priyanka back. The truth is that they will never get back together and it's all over between them.

They broke off in the first week of February and after that Shahid has neither called Priyanka nor has he sent her an SMS. He has not even seen Priyanka's last film, 7 Khoon Maaf. Shahid called his friend to find out how the reports are coming in the media since he had broken off with her in the first week of February itself."

So why did the dynamic couple break up? The friend said, "There was always a compatibility issue between the two as they are as different as chalk and cheese. While Shahid is a very protective and private person as far as his relationships go, Priyanka is outgoing and casual.

The constant back and forth in their relationship was a major factor. Shahid wanted a woman who is all heart in the relationship and not someone who would be firm with her decisions. The result - five-six break-ups between them.

They had a major fight in mid-November, after which Shahid and Priyanka wanted to give it a last try. He wanted the relationship to work and was ready to give it everything. In fact at one point of time he had even decided to go public but restrained himself due to the uncertainty between them.

The fact that they spent the New Year together in Goa was because both wanted to give it a last try. It is difficult to pinpoint one reason for their break up but Priyanka's basic nature worked against the relationship. He even stood by her side during the IT raids."

The friend further said, "In the first week of February Shahid decided that he had had enough and so he called Priyanka and told her that it was not working out between them.

There were various issues like compatibility, commitment, and the fact that it was just not working out. So he decided to call it off after putting in so much effort.

The only reason Shahid was worried was that they had to do Kunal Kohli's film together and knew that it would be difficult to work together after the break up. However, the recent media reports have irked him and he is definitely not trying to woo her back.

He just wants to finish his professional commitment and he is not someone who would speak about his private life.

That's the real reason he has been quiet and that's how he wants it to remain. Shahid did not spend Valentine's Day with her and was with his friends Anushka and Ayan Mukherji.

He recently went to Goa and chilled out with his friends over the weekend. He is quite happy and enjoying his singlehood."

In this case, if you get my drift, I'm not saying anything at all about PC, but speaking volumes about him. If I had wanted to blast PC for not sticking with this guy, I could've done so on their many other breakups in the past 😆

We can't say that he is at fault. So the fault does not necessary lies with men.

They are both two different individual who did not gel. They tried but could not get it along. Two different personalities. PC is party loving and he is not.

I think we have to give it to Kareena that she was ready for a change. And that is very important for a relationship. Shahid also changed a little bit after meeting PC. HE had started going to parties and media friendly.

I was expecting something along the lines of PC eating meat again, or shahid saw her wearing leather, or reading a chicken tikka recipe, or her forgetting to exercise in the morning, or she stole his foundation but this seems kind of an attempt at maturity. Gasp. Shock. The horror.
