DOSTANA 2 is back & Abhay furious, not doing D2!

Tarun Mansukhani's Dostana 2, co-produced by Karan Johar and UTV, is far from being shelved.

The sequel that stars Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham goes on floors by the end of this year.

Says a source, "The film had run into a bit of trouble, owing to the creative differences between the producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani. But now, Karan and Tarun are on the same page."

Apparently, differences cropped up between the two over the second half of the film. "While Karan has now approved of the first part, Tarun is almost done with the second part and Karan is very happy with the way it is going.

Shooting starts by November or December this year," says a source.

While the main cast of Dostana 2 stays as announced Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif- Abhay Deol, Dino Morea and Ritesh Deshmukh have now joined the race to play two additional roles.

And these two roles are for two characters who are gay.

Not so long ago, it was reported that Dino had shied away from playing a gay man. Ditto for Sharman Joshi.

"Let's see what happens. The final selection has boiled down to Abhay, Dino and Ritesh," reveals the source.

The first part of Dostana was produced by Karan Johar and distributed by Yash Raj Films. But the sequel will be co-produced as well as distributed by UTV.

Johar and Mansukhani remained unavailable for comment but they have definitely rekindled their lost dostana.
