She has been lying low in the personal front after her divorce with Saif Ali Khan. But things look gleaming on the professional front. Amrita Singh after a long sabbatical took to acting once again with a tele-serial for Star Plus. She has been a good actor all her life and so making a comeback to films was very obvious. We've last seen her in a petite role in '23rd March 1931 Shaheed'. Her recent release Mohit Suri's 'Kalyug' has earned her accolades as the audience and the media can be heard praising her from all over. She rocked the 80's with her hit film 'Betaab'. With 'Kalyug' she again finds herself in the league of good actors.

On asked how she feels about her comeback, she tells, "It's wonderful to be acting again in films. Things have changed a lot from what they were during our times. I think there are a lot more young people involved now. Also, it's much more professional now." Though she renders a negative role of Simi Roy in 'Kalyug', it is nonetheless a very powerful character. She enjoyed a lot while working in the film and the younger generation of actors also gave her a good company. She is inclined to do more films and talks are on for some more films, however nothing has been finalized yet!
