Its true Ranbir and Katrina are very close.But I personally don't think a third person can be responsible for the break-up of a couple.A relationship never flounders because of one person.Both the boyfriend and girlfriend are at fault.
There were other reasons for the break-up too.Like,Ranbir is a person who demands his own space.Even if he is in a relationship,there is that thin boundary line he likes to maintain.And there was news that Deepika never did give him any space.Even when they just started out,she had mentioned in an intervew,that 5 years down the line she hopes to be Mrs.Kapoor.That was too early.If a cople is dating,its NOT necessary they MUST get married.You must give your partner some time.Announcing that you will marry him just a few months after the relationship,when the guy is not even sure what he wants,is not the wusest thing to do.There was also news that she would sort of go to every family occasion of the Kapoors,which got on their nerves sometimes.
I think they were in a relationship at a time when Ranbir was still reluctant to commit himself completely to a girl.I think now,at this point of time,he is more settled personally,and is thinking of marriage and family.
RanKat are definitely closer than best friends,i feel.Not only during Ajab but also during Raajneeti.I feel,more so during Raajneeti,their closeness came out.
If they find love in each other,then great.If not,i hope the firendship continues,and Ranbir finds THAT girl who kind of changes him completely.(ME!ME!)
@Zareena-You say that Ranbir knew that if OSO became a hit,he would start dating Deeps or else he would not even have said a 'Hi' to her.Actually,Ranbir and Deepika had met and had kinda started goint out on dated 'during' the shooting of Saawariya and OSO.The had the same make-up artist who introduced them to each other.They were sort of going out but SLB wanted him to concentrate completely on his film.Plus,the Ranbir-Sonam buzz was mandatory coz their film was releasing.That was when they sort of decided to take it easy and concentrate on their films.As soon as their films released and they were on to BAH,they were dating again.
