yes b/c they were friends for 6 years before they started to date...they dated for a year before he proposed and seeing how abhi is off-screen...he's sweet, humble, smart, funny...truly a perfect gentlemen w/good values and he respects women...so even if he wasn't a bachchan but someone else...there's a good chance she would have married him b/c she comes from traditional roots and so does he! I think he's perfect for her and he has all the qualities women look for...so as a fan I don't think or see Ash as a shallow, manipulative woman who married him b/c she had no other options or b/c he's a Bachchan....but their match is so heavenly!

I think she would've still married him if he wasn't a Bachchan! Besides he is an amazing, sweet, charming guy! Like someone said above he seems like a dream husband! Abhi is a sweetheart 😃

We have a jeeta jaagata demo in front of us to answer your question. Vivek oberoi anyone?? lol.. Abhi would have ended up the same way, given your hypothetical situation. And yes we are not supposed to make such topics, coz there are only a few women in bollywood who are supposed to be calcuative and manipulative and who use men, and it is a FACT that Ash is not one of those, she is too nice to be all that, leave all that for other mean women in bolly.

Well not sure, if she would have gone for him without the Bachchan tag? But perhaps if Ash didnot fall for him, I would have tried my luck.

Abhishek seems secure, confident, polite and has a great sense of humour. He is one of the few actors who can laugh at themselves.... I dig such stuff in men. I know he isnt great looking, or succesfull or well-dressed, but he is so gracious and is supportive of his wife and seems respectful towards women.

So whats wrong in what she did???

Actresses becomes famous and then they find someone who is going to maintain their life style. Some marry businessmen and some marry actors.

No one have married a taxi driver yet.........

^^ Jaya bachchan married an actor whose fame was quite small at that time compared to hers, when she fell in love with him, he was a struggling actor and she was an established star. So there you go there are some women out there who would still do that and have done that.

I think Ash is lucky to find abhi bachan or Not.I think ash has got a STRONG controlling personality.I think thats one reason y she nd salman coudnt work out.its like Like poles of the magnet and constant stuggle to WIN.But abhi is subdued and lets her take control.She is one lucky one to land herself him.Else she wud hav ended with no-one.We see women who are strong-independent-overly successful ,controllin women remain single most of the time .Ex:Susmitha,Rekha evn Ekta.Abhi is sweet and respects women which is rare in men most of the time.

Amitabh is the son late Harivansh Rai Bachchan a poet who was a living legend.His mother Teji Bachchan was Friends with Mrs Gandhi.They were very well connected Family.Jaya's Father was also a scholar...she was the bigger star,but must have decided that he had a future ahead..who knows!

When any of us get married..the sane ones😆,we do look out for a stable life and future of our children..Procreation of the species is the main function of all living things..all choose the strongest mate.

Babita was a big star she married Randhir,Jennifer- Shashi..in fact most Kapoor bahus married rather unsuccessful men..the family name may have guaranteed them some future...

Ash or her parents would have certainly looked for someone who they felt made the best sense..

Actresses have become very smart these days..they usually end up with some industrialist,producer/director/actor etc..good for them!

Why should only actresses marry for "true" love...why can't they think like most of us here or we know of
