The dates of his film got delayed and so we could finish the shooting of Bluffmaster in record time." The film has been shot in Mumbai.
Ramesh said, "We shot through the whole floods because of weather and the stormy clouds the city looks beautiful." Chipped in Rohan, "The only time when everything worked smoothly was when Nana (Patekar) was on the sets as everybody would be on their best behaviour and we would shoot in record time." So now you know the answer to 'who's afraid of Nana'. Everybody!
Dharam paaji's khaana khazana
Saturday evening saw a nervous Bobby sitting with his dad Dharmendra for the opening of Some Place Else at Fun Republic on the 6th Floor. The huge restaurant offers Indian and Chinese food and a nightclub and banquet.
Said Bobby, "I am very nervous and excited. It's always been our dream to do something like this and we are very excited about it."
Both Bobby and Dharmendra (who recently celebrated his 70th birthday) are looking into each and every aspect of the cuisines to make sure that no delicacy is left out of the menu. Khana's Khazana after all!
Akshay: Anything for a friend

Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta | Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar |
All those who are wondering why Akshay came late for the Dosti press meet, well here's the reason.
The professional Akki was completing the shooting of Sajid Nadiadwala's Jaaneman on the next floor. Said a source, "The poor guy didn't even take a lunch break.
Salman wanted to continuously shoot till lunchtime without taking a break so Akki kept shooting. The moment pack-up was announced, he ran to the sets of Dosti."
Akshay plays a poor guy in Dosti while Bobby plays rich guy Karan, who's happy-go-lucky and not serious about relationships and anything in life till a certain incident changes his course. "It's a nice emotional movie, which makes you laugh and cry.
Suneel (Darshan) is a great combination of producer and director and he makes successful movies. I am happy to be a part of his film," says the Jr Deol before he flew off for the shooting of Anil Sharma's Apne in Chandigarh.
Amrita's upset
Amrita Rao is upset about the stories circulating about her being unhappy about the promos of Shikhar. An indignant Rao asks, "Who am I to comment on things such as promos? People who know me know that I can never talk like this.
It's not my image. I would never give my opinions on such things as I am sure the director and producer know what they are doing." She continues. "I was grossly misquoted and the journalist later apologised to me and to the producer, John Matthan, admitting that he had misquoted me.
It was a misunderstanding that was sorted out." Besides Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi and Shikhar, her next releases, the pretty girl has already bagged E Niwas's next Anthony Gonsalves, Sooraj Barjatya's Vivah and Indra Kumar's Pyare Mohan. "I don't do too many films in a year because I want to give my 100 per cent to one film at a time," says Amrita. Say hello to the female Aamir.
Sanober: We are family
Singer-actress Sanober Kabir maybe known for her remix song Beri Ke Ber or on the acting front in Aroona Irani's serial Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan and in Kalpna Lajmi's film Kyon.
But not many know that her father N S Kabir was secretary to Sharmila Tagore for 10 years and made films like Tyag and Badnam Farishtey with Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore.
Her mother Sabiha was a designer for actresses like Sharmila Tagore, Padmini Kolhapure, Sridevi, Meenakshi Sheshadri and Tabu. Actress Sonam is Sanober's first cousin while Zeenat Aman is her aunt.
There's still more…. actor of yore, Murad is Sanober's nana and Raza Murad is Sanober's mama. Whew! That is what is called a pucca filmi background.
Growing up in a hurry

Hansika Motwani | Shweta Prasad |
It wasn't that surprising when we saw Shweta Prasad (of Iqbal fame) at Mukta Arts' anniversary celebrations, all dressed up in a mini and tie-up shoes, all desperate to shed her kiddie image because she really was stuck with it.
But Hansika Motwani, who announced her exit from the world of films and television on February 19 this year, really had us flabbergasted. In an earlier article (Hansika quits the industry: hitList, March 16), Hansika and her mom both said that it was a conscious choice. Hansika had said, "I'm very happy.
Now I can spend quality time with my mom and brother now, which I could hardly afford to do because of my tight shooting schedules." Mona, her mom actually said her daughter's achievements had reached saturation point, with Hansika concluding, "I'm shifting my focus to studies as I'm in the eighth standard and being in an international school demands a lot of hard work."
And now she goes and plays the leading lady in He, Mimoh's debut. Is she going to end up as a class eight dropout, that's what we'd like to know. One fine role model she'd make, then.
