Scary thought.

But looking at the movies she's choosing recently, it strikes me that its the same strategy. Signing big projects with big stars in movies that are all about them, and her being just a part of it.

I dont know if its intentional or not, but look at the trend:

3 Idiots: Big project. Cant blame her here coz the concept, project was amazing. And she had a pretty cute role. But at the end of the day, people dont give her credit for 3 Idiots's success. Mostly, she benefitted off ot it.

Ra One: With Srk. What is her role? A wife? Most glam mother ever, like wth is that? Movie's all about Srk, and to an extent Arjun. Maybe their son. Srk said this movie's about a father and son relatoinship. Or its about special effects, its a superhero flick. Every way, she's nowhere in the picture.

Bodyguard with Salman: Articles have said its a Salman centric film. She mgith have a godo role but at the end of the day, is it a role that anyone could have done? I'm sure it is.

To an extent, I dont blame her. The Khans are pretty much her only options right now. Hrithik and Abhi dont share good vibes with her. Ranbir, the hottest thing at the moment, whos' bagging the best projects, is not even an option.

And the Khans are doing films that are about them. Thats just a fact. And they have the right to as well coz they are that big. Only Khan who's film she has good roles in are Saif's. Kurbaan, and now Agent Vinod. But she can tdo any more movies with him.

Which other costars can she work with? Who's left? Good options are Abhay, Farhan, etc. But to have them AND have a good project where she has a steller role, I dont see it happening.

And part of me thinks its intentional.

I mean she's the one who turned down No One Killed Jessica (that now went to Rani and Vidya), refused Dhruv (which is shelved), and is currently awaiting Heroine. But seeing how her luck is going, I'm not gonna hold out hope for Heroine either.

I thought she turned down No one killed jessica because her role was small and she was gonna get killed off?

And you forgot Ajay Devgan! He is really good! Remember Omkara! Yeah her role was small, but a lot of people loved her performance and she even won an award for it! So I think Ajay Devgan is good too! Once upon time, was liked by an audience and it was a hit! Not only khans can give a hit!

Well if it's intentional then I gotta say she's playing it smart...not taking any risks and playing it safe. I mean look at Kat, all she does in her movies is play the heroine to the actor. And she's called number 1. And that's how most of Kareena's upcoming movies sound like.

But I disagree about the actors she can work with part. There are many actresses who've done female oriented movies with no big male leads. So Kareena, at least at this stage in her career, shouldn't need a big name opposite her. But again, that depends if she's willing to take that risk. She might be if she signs Heroine.

I have to say that priyanka is one commercial actress who isn't afraid to take chances, despite making her career all by herself she doesn't seem scared to get outside her safety net and is rebellious and strong in chosing challenging roles. Others are just lets say getting predictable.

Yeah, I've noticed Kareena's been playing it safe.. Kareena's always wanted the fame and glamour and the number 1 status. And she sees Kat get it by just wearing pretty clothes, looking pretty, and dancing in a movie. I guess she's influenced by that..

Kareena used to take risks in the beginning of her career..now she has stopped. Plus she basically does all the movie KJo offers her because she doesn't want to get into his bad books again.

But I agree with crazy fanatic, Kareena's been around for 10 years. She's at a stage where she doesn't necessarily need a hero opposite her. She can afford to do heroine-centered roles.

One of her fans had a very valid point.

Kareena's earlier career has a huge hand in influencing why she's so hungry for commercial success.

Call it terrible luck, but the girl barely gets hits. And in movies that she gives tremendous performances in (Omkara, Kurbaan, Chameli), she never got aknowledged. Atleast not by the mango people, the general audiences.

Sometimes I Wonder, maybe if she had also gotten her share of hits over the years liek other actresses, she woudl be that insecure and greedy for commercial success at THIS point.

I dont know what she's doing. But as her ardent fan, I'm so disappointed in her. I'm not being biased when I say that she has so much talent in her. But apart from doing those great movies in the past where we saw a glimpse of htat talent, I'm afraid that I'm never gonna see her go all out again.

Even if she's going the Katrina way.. she can still act unlike someone.. and gets/deserves credit to whatever roles she plays. Today all heroines have these minor roles only.. Occasionally a female centric film comes out which ends up being an average hit or a flop so I dont really blame her for going this way.

from what i know kareena was approached for the role of jessica lal! which was a small one.

rani and vidya were the first choices as the leads and remained so. facts matter.

hrithik has no prob wid kareena, and as far as ranbir is concerned y isn't his career getting affected by not working wid kareena?? and kareena blew the shahid bridge herself, she does not want to even look at him, and she rejected roles such as KHNH due to her own attitue problems!!
