Mission Kashmir: Most of the characters in the film were Kashmiris and the flavour was authentic. The movie explained how people are shaped by their circumstances and how we are never too weak to make the right choice. Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt did full justice to Vidhu Vinod Chopra's tribute to his homeland.

Jodhaa Akbar: Emperor Akbar could not have asked for a better biopic. Ashutosh Gowariker's magnum opus glorified him magnificently and renewed people's interest in the secular emperor. One of the high points in the film is the Khwaja Mere Khwaja video. It is divine.

Kurbaan: Barring Kareena, all the characters were Muslims and portrayed with authenticity. The film offered a balanced view on Islam and America and we love the way they were frank about America's chauvinistic ways. You will understand the purpose of the title in the end. Moreover, it was a gripping and engaging thriller. Watch it, if you have not already.

Khuda Kay Liye?: This is the most powerful film to have emerged from Pakistan in a very long time. We will not spoil it by giving you any details but engage yourself in a three-hour long educative drama about Islam, America's obnoxious ways, life in Pakistan, and people in general. The music will leave you spellbound, so will the performances and the message of the film.

Rendition: This America may seem incongruous on the list but we had to include. Starring Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, the movie exposes the ;extraordinary rendition' technique adopted by US officials to torture suspects. Most of their claims are baseless. It will engage you and move you to tears. Watch it and be surprised!
