This reminds me of the forum back in 2007, I used to like both of them almost equally when they entered. Acting wise I prefer Deepika, she was pretty good for a newcomer in OSO in terms of her expressions/emoting and screen presence. And now with Lafange Parinday, the improvement shows.
I think Sonam took too long to come out with movies, her apearance was too short in Dehli6, more importantly it didn't leave me with any impact.
Never had the inclination to watch CCTC, Houseful or IHLS and in the meantime, it's Sonam's statements throughout her short career that have put me off, particularly the 'I'm Anil Kapoor's daughter' and the recent controversy. Having said that, Aisha has got my interest so I guess real life has never affected my opinions of an actor in reel life.
To be more concise, I guess overall I prefer Deepika now.
I hope this topic doesn't close, I don't see anything wrong in comparison topics, surely we can discuss without it getting ugly.

Why so many people have used teh strong word HATE for Deepika? What has she done?😃

I fwe are choosing then.....hmm...still I can't choose.

Surprsing but I like Both but Deepika little more just becasue I always go with the person who is hated by the most.....

I think the worst mistake Deepika made was to get associated with Ranbir. This has really damaged her image......but as an actress she is improving..her diverse roles show that....she is liek I said before had - double role in OSO, taxi driver in BAH, chinese and double role in CCTC, modern career girl in KCK, Mature role in LAK, and now Parindey, Khele hum jee jaan se and Break ki bad....All these roels are much more than the one where you don't even know what the actress do apart from meeting actor in the mall or road or singing here and there...

Sonam too is onthe same career path - Sawariya, Delhi 6 and now IHLS. I am looking forward to AAisha and Mausam......

Both of them are doing great work and are doing different work. Both of them are not into number games..you can see that from their choice of movies....

But the comparision between the two is THANKS to Mr. Kapoor....how ironic is that ..now he is with none of them...he made these 2 girls famous for wrong reasons....

I'd absolutely no idea that there was such an ugly fan-war between Sonam and Deepika, and that too during their first year. It's funny that people seem to fight less about established actresses and more about newcomers.

Its kind of impossible to have a safe discussion here, there have been alot of topics on DP vs SK and it always end up with fight :(

but yeah i really agree with ur words, In 2007 this forum was like going mad :P hehe but i remember there was alot of comparison topics at that point of time as well, and i always used to say that i will comment after watching OSO n Saawariya.

I watched OSO just a Week after it's release n the reason was SRK , not deepika.
I enjoyed the movie very much and i liked deepika in the movie. and the movie was also succesfull.

Then After a month i think i watched Saawariya, and i got such a big headache , everyone in my family hated it. I found the movie boring, and sonam n Ranbir wasn't impressive.

But i never disliked Sonam or Ranbir after watching the movie cuz it's not their fault that the movie or the characters were bad.

But cuz the movie released in the end of the year just some months after these Award fuctions started, and i wanted to see more of deepika n Sonam ( & Ranbir ) but sonam kind of disappeared , so i only saw deepika around n award functions n events. I mean i got no chance to start to like sonam.

And then she came out to promote D6 , and the comment " I was born with a silverspoon in my mouth " " I'm anil kapoors daughter i have everything i want" that pissed me off.

I mean okay, u are proud of ur dad, u have everything but there is no need to show off. then i saw her making comments on other stars as well, so there i kind of started to dislike her.

i don't know what the comparison is about.

Both are very likeable in their own ways. There is no simply no comparison!

I can't choose between them. it really depends upon the kind of movie.

no comparison exists. i m a sonam kapoor fan bt i hav no qualms in admitting deepika in terms of movies, success rate as well as fame amongst new generation audience is much ahead of sonam .... and i dnt even beleive , sonam will b there wit katrina or deepika in terms of success rate atleast in next two yrs..

so cn we plz end the deepika vs sona topics? its very tiring , atleast aftr 3 yrs of their debut , things hav changed situation hav changed , and there is not even a competition dt exists.. i find kat vs deepika wil b a much better topic since both r at present giving away one hit aftr another..atleast there will b certain common ground..

as far my personal choice goes , well yes i already mentioned its sonam kapoor for me...i luv the girl n i connect wit her ways ..
