^^^LOL @ he will never be considered a successfull star-True....but he'll always have his father and wife to keep him and make him feel relevant. :) Your name can only take you so far

not everyone is SRK you know, dudes got a massive fan base which can make even his mediocre films successfull.

I really don't see why people think that just because your parent had cinematic charisma you MUST be a film star yourself.

I mean, those are your parents NOT YOU. Can't these people go into some other line of work? Something that suits them better? Surely the family has the financial cushion to support a medical or musical or---heck, even a career in accounting---for these people.

Why must EVERYONE whose parents acted think they have some divine right to waste film and audience time by taking roles from legitimately gifted people?

Okay, now that that rant is out of the way, I really think that Abhi would be better BEHIND the camera. Yes, he has connections and yes he was raised in, and therefore knows the film industry so he'd be starting with a major advantage but he has zilch on screen charisma. He could make films and probaby do a damned fine job, maybe raise to the top of his profession but he can no more "be" his father than I can be mine.

He's himself and "himself" is merely a mediocre actor and a stiff, labored dancer.

Why only him?

There ar emany actors who have given flops...what abou ttheir careers.

If you say that he will keep on working in movies or get movies becasue he is a Bachchan. Then also think about htat he gets these kinda of article and negative comments ojust because he is a BAchchan.

Abhi - For me he struggled a lot. His dad did not make a movie for him or launch him. He faced flops andhe faced hits. A bad movie is a bad movie and there is so much an actor can do.

For me the HERO of hte film is not the actors but the DIRECTOR-STORY.

Ravaan flopped as it was badly written and executed. Dil se flopped even though it had SRK and it was MAni's movie.

The only advice I have for ABhi is - Choose scripts wisely and choose your co-star wisely

Enough of honeymoon and prasiing your wife..now concenterate on your movies....

Ravaan should sure give Abhi a wake up call and set his priorities right....

He will never run out of work just because of his surname.I feel really sad for actors who can actually act but never get a chance to show their talent because they don't come from a family with famous surnames.I hate the actors who lack the basic qualities for being an actor but still get to work with top directors and producers just because of family connection.

I agree with u.The fact that he's Amitabh Bachchan's son, his career can never be on its last leg. Abhishek will always act whether the movies are hits or not. Some people are just lucky like that. Look at Sonam Kapoor, two flops back to back yet producers and directors are still lining up to sign her in films. Look at Kareena Kapoor's track record. It pays to be the child of a star. But for a talented actress like Asin her career is already over after just one flop

No I don't think it is. He is good actor. But he is lucky to have Big B as his father, otherwise he would be along gone but he is starkid. All starkids get hunderd chances to prove him or herself. Just how it works.

I like abhi's personality. I just love him as a person. In movies, he has great and powerful moments and than not so great moments. He's unpredictable, he comes out with great performance in Yuva. He was really funny in Dostana, I loved him in that movie.

Abhi's career is not going to be over. He has dostana 2 coming up. And my most awaited movie of the year is Ashu's movie with abhi and deepika. It looks like that movie his giving a powerful performance and people will be surprised.

I agree with @Terenaina. He was soooo good in Dostana. The only reason I liked Dostana was because of his acting/comedy and the songs. He was the only good part in the film. He also has a great sense of humor. He was also good in MPKDH. He had a better role than HR in the film and acted better than HR IMO. His career is def not over. He is no one of the best actor we have in bollywood but he is def here to stay 😉

^Agree! It's all about ups and downs! I guess Abhi has more downs than ups, but people also tend to forget the ups! He's not gone! He's young and talented and has plenty of good projects!
