Mumbai: Summer brings the opportunity for many Bollywood celebs to head out of Mumbai for a quick vacation as the film industry rarely does a big shoot in the scorching heat. Even society bigwigs travel out to cooler destinations to refresh themselves.

Actor Deepika Padukone, who has around five releases this year, wants to unwind herself from the madness. She says, "I'm going on a 10-day trek to Ladakh that includes camping, rafting and even biking."
Actor Shilpa Shetty along with her husband Raj Kundra is at Phuket refreshing themselves at the spas. Actor Malaika Arora has planned a relaxed cruise trip with her husband and son to an undisclosed location.
Though not in a position to take a vacation as promotions of their film Raavan is underway, actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan will spend some time with each other in Paris.
It looks like actor Shah Rukh Khan will take a delayed vacation with wife Gauri and kids at the end of June after finishing a schedule of his forthcoming film Ra.1.
Actor Akshay Kumar and family too will have a delayed vacation, most probably in the US, post the shoot of his film Tees Maar Khan.
Actor Kim Sharma will be heading to Darjeeling and Gangtok with her parents. She says, "It's going to be a family outing something that I am looking forward to. Later my next destination would be Europe," she says.
Actor Sameera Reddy finds Thailand the best place to run away during the summer in Mumbai.
Society folks are also not far behind. Socialite and entrepreuner Priya Chatwal is headed to New York City. Jewellery designer Queenie is travelling to London to spend the summer with her kids and society big-wig Chhaya Momaya heads to Europe in June and will be back in town in July after a trip to New York.
Sources also say Anil Ambani and his family and Mukesh Ambani and his family are also set to visit the US next month.
Liquor baron Vijay Mallya and his son Siddharth will be mostly in Europe this summer and also tour with their Formula One team.
