My God, I love the way everyone is taking SRK's part and acting as if Farah is some no-talent hack whose films did absolutely NOTHING for SRK!
OSO was a HUGE hit for a superstar who, face it was growing past the age of playing "love's young dream" and needed time to find a new direction. Both MHN & OSO are the most popular films among non-Indian people who are introduced to SRK films for the first time.
If Farah, who--by the way--had triplets with that man wanted to stick by her husband who could blame her? Who among us would wish our mother to be so star struck that she blows our father off to chase a major film star and act as if this other man's feelings are of paramount importance to her?
I can't imagine SRK risking his childrens' family security in that way, can you? Now why is Farah a no talent "using" SRK just because she wants to look out for her own family?
Farah, unlike a certain strikingly handsome yet wooden Bollywood denizen whom SRK inexplicably seems so bent on casting or doing cameos for that it's led to rumors of a gay affair, actually has talent of her own.
That's not to say that without SRK's high profile her films would have captured the attention that they did, but having captured the public attention, her particular brand of sparkle showcased SRK much better than his lackluster turn in Billu or even the weary & indifferent MNIK, a film which, had it starred any other screen pairing than the sentimentally beloved, SRK Kajol would have been a dismal flop.
Whatever happened between them I hope Farah goes on to make lots more fun, entertaining films which she has surely proved she knows how to do.
It's certainly a loss for both of them if she doesn't work with SRK again because I found his work with her ten times more fun and entertaining that the maudlin, syrupy, starry-eyed KJo offerings.
