We may not have seen much histrionics from her, but Katrina Kaif is comfortable doing comedy films rather than hard-hitting roles that usually fetch award statuettes.
She was last seen in David Dhawan's slapstick Maine Pyar Kyon Kiya with beau Salman Khan . Now, we learnt that Katrina has been signed for the lead role opposite Akshay Kumar , another actor with good comic flair, for filmmaker Aneez Bazmee's next movie which is titled 'Welcome'.
Considering the success of Bazmee's No Entry , this movie should sure be the one to look forward to.
From what is learnt about the movie's story, it would be about two people in an elevated state of love. Katrina plays a girl whose family approves of her relationship with Akki. The only problem is that Akki is intimidated by her family.
Bazmee is presently learnt to be completing the movie's script.
Shooting for the movie is likely to begin in December. It would be shot in Dubai and the US.
Besides Bazmee's movie, Katrina is also doing David Dhawan's next comedy with Salman Khan.
Katrina says she loves doing comedy because shooting for such movies is fun. The audiences too crack up while watching them.
