Priyanka and Shahid split again and this time, it's for good!
Shahid and Priyanka have split again. And it isn't pretty. The duo has even stopped following each other on Twitter. The break-up happened just before Christmas. Priyanka was to begin shooting for Anjaana-Anjaani on January 3 in New York, but she left a week in advance. She wanted to get away from the city, and all its memories.
The last time they'd split, it was called by Shahid. But he realised that she meant a lot to him, and he went and wooed PC who was pining away for him. Just when everyone thought that they would be together for good, things between them started going wrong. And this time it is Priyanka who has called off the relationship.
Rocky relationship
The break-up isn't amicable. Shahid and PC have always had a rocky relationship and common friends had been predicting an end ever since they got back together. They personalities are totally different from each other and that has always led to arguments and fights. But this time, things got really ugly.
A source close to the couple reveals, "They had a huge fight before she left for her New York schedule. Shahid brought up the subject of her co-star Ranbir, which irritated her and things got ugly. Earlier whenever there was a tussle, PC would try and make peace. However, this time she was in no mood to fix it."
Taking sides
Also Priyanka's new-found friendship with Mubina Rattonsey irked Shahid. The source continues, "After his break-up with Kareena, Shahid got close to Mubina. It was reported that she was more than a confidante to him but then things went wrong, and they drifted apart.
PC was introduced to Mubina through close friends and they instantly bonded. But Shahid was wary of their friendship. He believed that Mubina would influence her against him. He asked Chopra to keep away from her but she didn't." In the end, they were fighting more than enjoying each other's company, and PC decided to call it off.
One of the reasons PC left early for New York was the split. "She needed some alone time before she started the shoot. Now, there's no looking back for her. The Shahid chapter is over and done with," concludes the insider.
