Hrithik recommends Barbara to Zoya Akhtar for her next but she refuses

Hrithik Roshan may have wrapped up his Kites shoot with co-star Barbara Mori months ago but he's still talking about how impressed he is with her work. Her "acting skills" and "professional attitude" have him floored. And Duggu has been recommending her to filmmakers willing to cast someone of foreign origin in upcoming flicks.

A source reveals that Hrithik even suggested that good friend Zoya Akhtar who's making a road trip movie with him, also cast Mori. The film is set in Spain and also stars Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar. Initially, Sonam Kapoor was being considered for the lead role opposite Hrithik, but that didn't work out. They decided to cast a character of non-Indian origin.

The source says, "It was Duggu's idea that they cast Barbara for the role. However, Zoya wasn't too convinced. She decided to hold auditions and cast someone else for the role. Casting for the female lead (opposite Hrithik) remains open."

Hrithik, though, is still keen on a chance of working with the Mexican beauty. "Whenever he meets producers or filmmakers, he only has words of praise for Barbara. It's clear that he definitely wants to work with her again irrespective of the fate of Kites, their upcoming release."

After a lull, reports of Hrithik Roshan's passion for his "Kites" co-star Barbara Mori have surfaced again. The actor is reportedly completely smitten by the Mexican beauty, and finding it hard to deal with his feelings for her, while remaining 'happily' married to Sussanne.

The otherwise dedicated and disciplined actor is said to have become a tormented soul, resorting to partying hard to cope with his emotional turmoil.

Professionally, Hrithik has apparently being going around recommending Barbara's name to directors and producers to cast her opposite him in their films.

It's being said that wherever he goes, Hrithik has only praise for Barbara's professionalism and talent. In fact, one recent recommendation that Hrithik made for Barbara was to good friend Zoya Akhtar, who is making a road movie starring him, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar in the lead.

Zoya had zeroed in on Sonam to play the lead opposite Hrithik but the dates didn't work out and Sonam was dropped. Post that Hrithik tried hard to convince Zoya to cast Barbara opposite him. Since the film is to be shot in Spain, he felt the Mexican beauty will fit the role.

But Zoya hasn't been convinced and the female lead is still open.

Meanwhile, as reports about Hrithik's soft corner for Barbara have started doing the rounds again, wife Sussanne is understandably feeling quite insecure.

She has reportedly been following him wherever he goes for his shoots and keeping a close watch on him.

And, it's not just Barbara Mori who's worrying her.

From the time Sussanne heard that Hrithik and his "Guzaarish" co-star Monikangana Dutta were to film a passionate lovemaking scene, she has made her presence felt on the sets of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie.

She even went all the way to Goa where Hrithik was shooting.

Sussanne's presence made Monikangana very uncomfortable. So much so that she begged Bhansali to cancel the lovemaking scene. This has put the filmmaker in a fix now. He has to find a middle path so that no one's sentiments are hurt and he also gets to have the scene in his movie.
