Imran Khan to get engaged on January 16
Mumbai: Aamir Khan's nephew Imran is solemnising his formal engagement with beloved for many years Avantika Malik on January 16 (2010) and the auspicious and grand ceremony will be held in Mumbai instead of New Delhi which the industry informers had speculated.
Grapevine rumours had it that he was supposed to throw a lavish party in Arjun Rampal's lounge Lap but sources close to the actor confirm that the bash in happening in Mumbai where the whole of the film industry is expected to land up. The couple is now busy with the preparations of the event after which they shall also announce their marriage date. The families are busy finalising the venue, the outfits that they will wear, jewellery and other fineries of the event.
"Imran had always January in mind when he had announced his formal engagement. The date is 16th January. Also, there were never any plans of doing the ceremony in Delhi as Imran and Avantika both have their families and friends here in Mumbai," says Imran's spokesperson.
Imran had proposed to Avantika on her birthday on July 18 (2009) at a private party where only close family members and select friends were present.
