Shahid would like to work with Katrina Kaif now as he has already worked with top actresses like Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Talking about Shahid's sudden obsession with Katrina, a source said, "Katrina Kaif is the next actress on Shahid's wishlist. He thinks Katrina is extremely talented and would love to work with her in a film. His father's movie is a love story and Shasha (Shahid) finds Katrina apt for the role.

But Pankaj Kapur has started a hunt for a newcomer. The source adds, "He has spoken to his dad Pankaj recommending Katrina for the film. But, Pankaj is keen to cast a young fresh face for the film. A nationwide hunt is on for the film."

According to Pankaj, he is still not ready with the script so the question of casting doesn't come in. He said that his daughter is in charge of looking into the casting and won't finalize anything until the script is ready. The film will commence shooting in January 2010.
