It may be a small world but Harman Baweja hadn't bumped into the man who stole his girlfriend of five years from him. But last week he found himself in the same room as Shahid Kapoor. Priyanka Chopra was not present at the party, which would've probably complicated things.
Trial show
Last week producer Ramesh Taurani held a trial of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani at Yash Raj Studios. PC's past and present beaus were both present but managed to stay out of each other's hair. But later at a party held at the film's creative producer Jay Shewakramani's home they could not avoid each other.
An eye-witness says, "There was some tension in the air and everyone in the small group of people present, were feeling awkward. Sensing that, Harman decided to take charge and went up and Shahid and greeted him."
The source continues, "Harman was the first to break the ice. It was really big of Harman to approach Shahid because he was the injured party."
A friend of Harman adds, "The PC-Shahid romance began on the sets of Kaminey, which Harman still hasn't watched. In fact when he was at a party two months ago, and someone played Dhan Te Nan from the same film, his friends rushed to the DJ and had the music changed."
First step
The friend continues, "But Harman is over Priyanka today and their romance is a thing of the past. As a result he went upto Shahid and talked to him. Especially because he didn't want the rest of the guests or Shahid to feel uncomfortable as the party was then being split up in two groups.
It is learnt that Shahid was equally receptive and warm and both of them had a pleasant chat after that.
Both actors remained unavailable for comment.
