Her outfit is very event appropriate. No chamak Challo sarees, no tube top short dresses.....good job Sonam.

Ok, I just read the whole article....Saroj Khan won for best choreography for Yeh Ishq Hai?? Are you kidding me??? What exactly was so exceptional about that choreography??? And Shreya Ghoshal has sung FAR better songs that that one....which would be more deserving of the award.....

^I think the first moment of outrage is Saif winning the best actor award for Hum Tum.

I can see Yeh Ishq Hai though, because the it was pretty elaborate and with all the back up dancers and the setting it was also unique. But Shreya Ghoshal did sing better songs in 2007 - I think Barso Re is one of them.

Anyway, she looks amazing here and I love her jewelery.

Exactly what I thought 😊
Appropriately dressed yet she looks fabulous - well done Sonam. She ought to hold classes to the other bollywood ladies on how to dress when you meet the president.

I agree thankfully they didnt give the best actor award to some actor in a bollywood hit movie. Maybe next year for LAK 😉 The ones they got fully deserved it - I watched Kancheepuram and Prakash Rai was great. I havent watched Gulabi Talkies yet but Umashri is a very good actress and she deserved the national award she got a few years ago. I am sure she was good in this one too.

They still have to announce the awards for 2008. I wonder why the awards were announced more than 1.5 years after 2007 got over.

For 2009, I have been hearing great things about Harishchandra Factory - hoping to find a way to see it with subtitles. It is a film about the first film made in India by Dadasaheb Phalke and is in Marathi.
