This reminds me when recently Abdul Kalam was treated in such a bad way in our own Country! He was frisked away and was even made to remove his Footwear!!
When the actual rule says that Ex Presidents and PM's need not go through such intense security Checks!
And Abdul Kalam did not say a word against the Airlines or anybody and co-operated in the Security Check on him.
In our own Country the Ex-President is not given any respect.!😡

Completely Agree,If they are going to check then it should be done on the same level for every person!

Shah Rukh detention: No big deal, says Salman

The Bollywood fraternity may have come out in support of Shah Rukh Khan while condemning the detention at an US airport but fellow star Salman Khan said the incident should not be given much importance.

there's no problem in doing security checks and all, im all for it for the sake of everyones safety and sanity, but i hate the fact that some people get singled out. On what basis? We're never told! its downright humiliating. When racial profiling happens to one of the American's (gates) its made into such a big issue, but what about the minorities who deal with it on a day to day basis?

I'm on two minds about this... I think it is better to be safe than sorry... If after this kind of pressure from India, US go easier on their stringent security laws then the effect of that, hypothetically speaking, could be extremely dangerous, coz that might allow criminals to pass through US airports scot-free and potentially cause another attack which could potentially end up killing many many people... And so in retrospect I realllly think its better that they have these stringent security laws, atleast the ppl can live securely that way... So this is a small price to pay for keeping the country safe.

However, there should be a limit to what can be allowed in these security checks... Okay, yeah security checks should be allowed... but there shouldn't be any kind of abuse or torture unless there is solid proof incriminating the person. Like for example, searching a person ?u?? for no reason other than that he is a Muslim is just so humiliating and disgusting (and that too without ANY substantial proof at all... ). Now THAT I take issues with because that borders on abuse in my opinion. Its okay if you do security checks, check the persons luggage/belongings. detain and question them for two-three hours whatever etc... but to abuse and torture and utterly humiliate them when they haven't even done anything wrong, JUST because they are Muslim/Sikh... THAT really is a flimsy premise upon which to abuse/torture sometime. SO IF they abused srk in any way, then yes I take issues with that factor. I think such treatment should only be condoned if there is solid-proper proof condemning the person which , IF it happened to SRK, isn't justifiable coz there wasn't any such proof. However if nothing of that sort happenned, I'm okay with SRK being detained for two hours and questioned, life isn't fair and that, I think is a small price to pay for keeping a country safe. And really if thats all that happened, then I realllly don't understand all the hoopla both SRK and the media are making over the issue!

the difference between security check and detention is that during detainment, you have no rights, you cannot contact anyone wether its a lawyer or family member, youre immediately stripped of your rights as a human. from what i've read srk was detained and after 2 hrs of interrogation i think he, and anyone concerned with him, has the right to ask on what basis he was detained. His angst is justifiable, its easy for us to say its blown out of proportion because we haven't experienced it.
My friend was deported after 2 weeks of detention and it was all a misunderstanding, how ridiculous, can anyone compensate for the emotional turmoil? think not. (Note: he wasn't tortuted, thank god)
