Amrita as Govinda's Life Partner ??

Despite being cast together in David Dhawan's Partner, actress Katrina Kaif does not seem to be too keen to do a repeat show with Govinda in Rumi Jaffrey's Life Partner which already stars Fardeen Khan, Genelia D'Souza, Tusshar Kapoor and Prachi Desai.

Life Partner is being produced by Abas Mustan, who were very keen to have Katrina do the cameo as she has worked with them in Race. But the actress, it seems was not to keen to do the cameo opposite Govinda. She probably did not want to refuse Abbas Mustan, so instead of turning them down outright, she kept them waiting for a while, citing date problems. But with the film's release set for August, the makers could not wait around for her for too long. The multiplex strike had already delayed matters. If they decided to wait around for Katrina, they would probably not be able to release the film this year. Hence they decided to rope in another actress for the role and approached Amrita Rao. It seems that the actress's bold look for Short Kut The Con Is On, is what worked in her favour. Last heard, the actress has already shot for the movie.
