Shiney Ahuja might be a rape accused, but as far as the Oshiwara police personnel are concerned, for them he is first a star and a convict later.

The actor, who is accused of raping his 19 year old maid servant at his residence at Tarapore Gardens, Oshiwara, has been enjoying the VIP treatment at the police station ever since he has been picked up by police yesterday night.

The actor was arrested early Monday after the preliminary tests conducted on his domestic help confirmed the sexual assault, a senior police official today said.

The actor has been booked under the sections of the IPC for rape (376), wrongful confinement (342) and criminal intimidation (506) and is to be produced before magistrate's court on Monday, according to the police officials.

The appellant alleged that the actor had raped her when the apartment was empty and his wife, daughter and parents were in Noida.

The Oshiwara police said, "We are waiting for the medical reports of the girl to ascertain if she was raped. We are still investigating the matter. If Ahuja is proved guilty, we will arrest him."

Ahuja was questioned inside 'a senior cop's air-conditioned cabin' where even his family and friends, who arrived at the police station around midnight, were allowed to meet him in the cabin.

Confession:

"Ahuja initially denied the crime, but later broke down into tears and confessed that he had raped the maid." said a police official.

Mahesh Bhatt, who produced Gangster with Shiney Ahuja as an actor in it, said, "This is a body blow to me. Shiny claimed that he had sex with the consent of the maid. However, she has claimed that she was forced into it."
