And you know why? Look at the production house, its YASH RAJ!!!

Yash Raj SUCKS at promotoins. They've never been able to promote their movies well. I mean look at tashan. Despite the fact hat it was a crap movie, just the star power alone should have guaranteed it the biggest opening of the year! But a week before the release, my friend dintn eve KNOW what tashn was.

Because Yash Raj are not used to promting well, since they've mostly relied on srk's starpower. Why do you think only hteir srk movies do well?

They dont use promtoional videos, they're too laidback with promos on air, they dont do promotional events.

I feel for the cast coz its a yash raj movei. its the worst prdouction house to be in nowadays, wtih UTV, Dharma, Ashtaviyanak, Excell (farhan's production house) and all these superstars production houses.

For far too long they have been relying on starpower. once upon a time, when a yash raj movie was about to release, EVERYONE woudl be hyped up adn looked forward to it. That was back in the day when they were were selective. Then...they started going for quantity over quality. Craptacular after craptacular movies reelased, adn now, no one cares about the banner anymore. If anything, ppl avoid it. They should learn from other producitnos houses.

Look at how rigirously kambakkht ishq is being promoted. Did you notice there's a KI banner on THIS very forum somewhere, on india forums, it usually flashes to the right. Its part of their promotions.

I saw the same banner in bollyspice, and it links back to the official website. They're doing promos, facebook, pics, press conferences, and they havent even spared bollywood FORUMS! lol

But it is the first movie releasing after the strike and if they at least start playing promos and songs on tv, it should do perfectly fine!

nah honey its not..the first movie after strike is kal kisne dekha which surprisingly has also been promoted really well

Kulls, its not that its promos are playing, but in general, they dont play enough. I mean there's never enough info out about yash raj movies.

Zareena, tashan was not promoted well. I just remmber three prmos tilt he very end.
That retarded electrict guitar one where they're all walking towards the screen.

Even dil dance maare wasnt promoted till the last week.

No one knew ANYTHING about the story, coz they never bothered releasing any dialogue promos, the stars were forbidden to speak about hteir roles (coz the strategy was, we'll generate more curiosity if we keep num...lmao)

It was promoted as this action flick, but in reality, tashan was satire. It was a comic movie. Masala to be more precise.

Well..tbh, I dont know what tashan really was. I think it was one big wtf moment, lmao

Kal Kisne Dekha? Released already? oh.. I thought New York was first.. but look at the star cast yaar.. Katrina, John, Neil vs well.. ok.. he is a star kid.. lol..

But I read that Katrina and Neil will be promoting the movie at DKD next week or something?

i didn't even know, i guess u r right..it is being promoted very bad. i dont know what's the deal with yashraj these days..they just don't want to spend money on promotion for any of the movies
