Barbara only understands Hrithik: Anurag

Now it's confirmed, Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori share more than just onscreen chemistry.

Unlike their forthcoming film Kites, where both speak their respective languages — Hindi and Spanish and do not understand the other's language, in person they both communicate with each other rather well. When Anurag Basu, director of Kites, faced a road block while explaining scenes to Barbara in English, Hrithik came to the rescue.

A source said, "When Basu would explain the scene to Barbara in English, she could not understand a word of it and would request him to repeat it in English. But even after re-explanation when she was at a loss, she would turn to Hrithik for help. And this time, surprisingly she understood every word and canned the shots successfully. It looked like Barbara did not understand Anurag's English at all."

Anurag Basu confirmed that he faced a language barrier with Barbara Mori. He said, "I speak very fast but the problem with Barbara is that she does not understand English completely as she speaks broken English. Even after I explained the scene to her in English, she would ask me to repeat it to her in English. And I would retort, 'But I am speaking to you in English'. Even after my re-explanation, she would turn to Hrithik to explain the scenes again. So eventually, I let Hrithik do the job."

Contrary to the hype the film has generated about the intimacy shared between Hrithik and Barbara, the film which does have a lot of passionate scenes, has only one kissing scene. A source said, "All of Anurag Basu's films have had kissing scenes, so does Kites. There was no reluctance from either of the actors or the producers of the film, it was always there in the film and will definitely remain in the film even after it is cleared."
