Anil Kapoor's elder daughter Sonam Kapoor has enrolled herself in an acting course in New York this summer. Maybe perhaps it's her way of beating the Mumbai heat or taking a break away from the offers or the lack of offers in Bollywood…whatever Or then maybe she's realized she needs to hone her acting skills a bit more before embarking on her home production, Ayesha.

No one really knows the exact reason behind her decision to join the acting classes but it is learnt that it is going to be a crash course for a few weeks and that she will be renting an apartment in plush Manhattan while she does her studies.

Our source close to the Delhi-6 girl also revealed that Sonam's US based friends who studied with her in Boston earlier will also be staying with her in New York while she is there and the girls have planned to make the most of it.

One person not happy with Sonam's plans is daddy Anil Kapoor. It is learnt that he hasn't been too happy with his daughter's decision as he wanted her to stay put in Mumbai and make her presence felt being constantly in sight of the makers and sign on more projects. But Sonam would have none of it and has made up her mind.

Dang that girl might not know how to act but she's surely very talented in being in 10 places at once in the next two months: LA for dress rehearsals, meetings in Dubai for Aisha, Cannes Film Festival, getting everything ready in Mumbai for Aisha, and not to mention shooting Aisha in Delhi....she still has time to enroll in school in NYC?? Is she gonna fly there everyday from Delhi after her shooting for classes?

When I read Aisha, I keep thinking it's about me...LOL why Aisha for the title of the movie? I'm not liking since I wanted to debute in a movie called by my name Aisha....hehe

Sonam is not enrolled in any classes. Not that there is anything wrong with that but she's not enrolled in any classes at all. She's way too busy until next year to even breath, let alone go to NYC for classes.
