They say there are seven faces in the world that resemble us. At least one from them seems to be in our very own country.

What we are about to show you are some familiar faces from Bollywood who bear a striking resemblance with each other. Though you might have often come across these faces in films or television, you might have never thought of the semblance they share until you see these 'picture perfect' mirror images.

If not twins, our directors can at least cast them as siblings. Could easily work wonders with the patent Bollywood formula of long-lost brothers in kumbh-ka-mela .

Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanshu Chatterjee

When the makers wanted someone to play Amitabh Bachchan's son in Bhoothnath , they zeroed in on Priyanshu Chatterjee for his striking similarity with Amitabh's real-life son Abhishek Bachchan. Even Amitabh Bachchan was taken aback when he saw Priyanshu in his new look with long locks and stubble that came too close to Abhishek.

Incidentally, Priyanshu Chatterjee played Aishwarya's husband in her home production Dil Ka Rishta .

Amitabh Bachchan and Sonu Sood

Jaya Bachchan once exclaimed, "Sonu Sood reminds me of young Big B". Sonu accepts that as his biggest compliment so far. His lean body-structure, tall height and facial features come real close to Amitabh Bachchan. Recently he imitated Amitabh in his film Dhoondte Reh Jaoge .

In his very early days, Sonu Sood was fortunate enough to work with Mani Ratnam who cast him as Abhishek Bachchan's elder brother in Yuva for having that Bachchan resemblance connection. Sonu reveals, "Mani Sir had called me up to offer the role which was ultimately played by Ajay Devgan. When I met Mani Sir, he just stared at me and asked me if I would enact a scene with Abhishek Bachchan. After watching that scene I guess he found some sort of connection between me and Abhishek's brother's character. And that is how I ended up as Abhishek's brother in Yuva ."

Smita Patil and Chitrangda Singh

From her first film itself, Chitrangda Singh was compared with yesteryear actress Smita Patil, both for her looks and her choice of cinema.

Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma

In several frames of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi , Anushka Sharma had a striking resemblance to Sonam Kapoor. The similarity in their colour complexion, expressions and dazzling smile made the debutante Anushka seem like a familiar face to the audience. Interestingly some reports suggest that even Sonam Kapoor was considered for the female lead in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi .

Aishwarya Rai and Sneha Ullal

When the promos of Lucky ' No Time For Love were first aired, viewers actually mistook Sneha Ullal's side facades as Aishwarya Rai working with Salman Khan again after their infamous breakup. Though the makers claimed that the similarity was coincidental there seemed to be more to the story...

Hrithik Roshan and Neil Mukesh

A year before Hurman made his debut; Neil Mukesh entered the industry who too had striking resemblance with Hrithik thanks to their athletic bodies and long face. However neither Neil nor the media made an issue of the resemblance which thankfully helped Neil gain his own identity unlike Hurman, who's still referred to as Hrithik clone. Today when Neil's look is compared to Hrithik he can claim that as a compliment.

Prachi Desai and Sonam Kapoor

Prachi was already a star on TV with Ekta Kapoor's show Kasamh Se when Sonam Kapoor was about to make her debut in films with Saawariya . The pictures do the talking.

Pulkit Samrat and Ranbir Kapoor

Much like Prachi and Sonam, even Pulkit Samrat was a star on TV with Ekta Kapoor's show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , while Ranbir was to make his debut in films with Saawariya .

Bipasha Basu and Shama Sikandar

Perhaps, only we saw their identicalness through our eagle eyes, like no one else did.

Jamna Das Majethia and Anil Kapoor

Popular TV actor and producer Jamna Das Majethia of shows like Khichdi and Baa Bahu aur Baby comes pretty close to the ever-young Anil Kapoor with his bushy moustache.

Arjun Rampal and Vikram Kumar

Arjun Rampal might clearly not be much happy that some B-grade actor named Vikram Kumar bears resemblance to him. Strangely Vikram Kumar takes pride in comparing himself to Shah Rukh Khan.

Deepika Padukone and Esha Deol

Now not many have spoken of their similarities but won't they make good onscreen sisters? Come to think of it, Deepika Padukone's filmy character of 'Dreamy Girl' was loosely based on Hema Malini in Om Shanti Om .

sneha and ash have some resemblance, though.. and yeah, now that i think about it, pulkit (he was in kyonki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi), he has some resemblance with ranbir..
