Bebo gets Jab We Met director to direct her so what if it's only for an ad?

Kareena Kapoor has finally got her way... about working with one of her favourite directors Imtiaz Ali.

Bebo worked with Ali in Jab We Met but was not chosen for beau Saif's home production Love Aaj Aur Kal directed by the JWM director.

However, Kareena will now be shooting with her favourite director for a snack ad.

Only Ali will do

Says a source close to Kareena, "She has been dying to work with Imtiaz again as she feels he brings out the best in her and feels he makes her look very beautiful.



JWM will always be special to Kareena and she was upset when Imtiaz chose Deepika Padukone for Saif's film.

So this time when the snack company asked her to shoot another ad for the brand, the actress insisted that Imtiaz direct her; they agreed."

The ad will be shot in Punjab. Says the source, "The concept is much like the story of Jab We Met.

Bebo will be wearing ethnic salwar-suits and running through the sarson ka khets.Imtiaz and she will shoot the ad today and come back tonight."

An excited Kareena told us, "Yes I did ask for Imtiaz to direct me in the ad. Imtiaz and I are special together. Jab We Met was magical.

It's a film I will always cherish as one of my best ones. I can't wait to see Love Aaj Aur Kal on the big screen.

The ad I am shooting for is funny, witty and cool something that is Imtiaz's forte. He's one of the best directors in the country today."

From her words,I have a feeling that Bebo will be doing the next film with Imtiaz!

Imtiaz used to protest(good naturedly)that Bebo's praises were making him feel insecure!

imtiaz was fascinated with Bebo during JWM.With Shahid.... not so much!(He and Saif can start a mutual admiration club though!)

After watching SNT ,I was totally bowled over by Imtiaz's writing especially the last scene when Ayesha confronts Abhay after running away from home..I thought ..this guy knows a woman's heart!I searched for some interviews he had given years back before he became famous.I was even more fascinated.He is a true Feminist.

So...I get this feeling that Imtiaz may have indirectly played a part(by giving strong female roles) in how Kareena and Deepika viewed their,then current relationship...

Imtiaz's granite face must have watched the changes that came over the girls during that phase ..it was during the London schedule that Deepika used to say excitedly...Rishi 'uncle' looks a bit like my Dad..now I would like to work with Neetu 'Aunty' ....To the icy cold vibes they share now!

I can see now why Kareena didn't suit Meera's role..She is outspoken and wears her heart on her sleeves🤗

About Deepika..Imtiaz has this to say..

Deepika made the cut .. "because her character is very silent, hiding various things inside her. I thought it suited her really well."

That's a very interesting analysis on Imtiaz. And yes, indeed he comes across as a stark feminist!
