| On April 1, everyone has the freedom to play a prank. Bollywood needs no such license, though. Pranks are part and parcel of a regular day on the sets. And there are some actors who are more dangerous than others. So, on April Fool's Day, we take a look at the film industry's naughtiest pranksters. |

| Asha Parekh No one can forget the prank she played on the late Sunil Dutt. B-town folk still talk about it even today. She hid Sunil Dutt's slippers under a chair in a studio, leaving him with no choice but to go home barefoot. Years later, Dutt recovered the slippers while shooting at the same place! |

| Salman Khan Salman has the ability to make everyone dance to his tune and this was most apparent when he played a prank on his brought-up-in-Britain girlfriend Katrina Kaif. When he made an appearance with her on TV, he asked her to say 'Tagda' (strong). Needless to say, Kat had great difficulty pronouncing the Hindi word. Even when cameras stopped rolling, Salman didn't let Katrina move from her seat till she said it! More recently, he locked up Asin in a van on the sets of London Dreams. |

| Sunil Shetty Anna's best prank was playing hide and seek with his costars' cell phones. The actor would flick a cell phone, hide it and return it to its original place when the star was about to leave the sets, baffling the star. On the sets of Hulchul, Arshad's cell phone would often mysteriously disappear very and be returned when he was ready to leave. Arshad was completely zapped! He realised only later that it was Suniel playing a prank on him. |

| Shahrukh Khan When it comes to play pranks, SRK is as unpredictable as a volcano and his costars usually find this out the hard way by being the butt of his jokes. One of his best pranks took place when he was shooting for Karan Arjun. He and costar Salman Khan planned to execute their plan at midnight, when the entire cast and crew were sleeping. When the time came, a quarrel broke out between the stars. It started with them shouting and screaming with each, before escalating to pushing and shoving. Before the crew could stop them, Salman pulled out a gun, aimed it at Shahrukh and shot him. SRK fell to the ground amongst the crowd whose faces were now white with panic. Even Rakesh Roshan, who was present couldn't believe what he saw. Then, all of a sudden, the 'dead' Shahrukh sprang up and laughed his heart out at the unsuspecting crowd. |

| Akshay Kumar The Khiladi, known for his breathtaking stunts, is also quite the prankster on his sets. While filming for Heyy Babyy, he locked poor Vidya Balan in her dressing room, leaving her with nothing to do but wait until someone realised her absence from the set. |

| Aamir Khan The usually serious Khan often shows his lighter side when he is among his costars. One of his favourite jokes is to pretend to be an expert in palmistry. And once, while reading Madhuri Dixit's palm, he even spat on it. We wonder how she took that joke! |

| Ajay Devgan Contrary to his serious persona onscreen, Ajay is a mischievous costar who keeps everyone on their guard. While shooting for Cash in Cape Town with Ritesh Deshmukh and Zayed Khan, he played a prank on director Anubhav Sinha. He brought an MP3 player to the sets and was listening to it joyfully when Anubhav Sinha walked in. Being a music buff, Sinha was curious when Ajay and Ritesh urged him to listen to an "amazing remix number". But when Anubhav put on the earphones of the rigged player, all he got was an electric shock. |

| Priyanka Chopra Priyanka's prankster days go way back to when she was shooting for Bluffmaster with Abhishek Bachchan. She took AB's phone and messaged Rani Mukharjee, telling her about how she has changed. When AB went to meet Rani after the shoot, the duo fought due to the message. Rani even showed a shocked Abhishek the SMS. He of course denied it and Priyanka later confessed. |

| Bipasha Basu Bipasha has recorded her own caller tune to fool those who ring her up. If you were to ring her up, all you would here is the actress saying, "Hello ? Hello ? Who's this ? Can you speak a little louder please ? I can't hear you. Hello ? Hello ? Oh God, this phone naa Hello?" |

| Abhishek Bachchan He loves to play pranks, especially on his unit members, and anyone who has worked with him is aware of his mischievous side. While on the sets of the film Shararat, Junior B actually scared his unit members into drinking milk, which he claimed was laced with bhang. |

| Tusshar Kapoor During the shooting for Golmaal Returns in Goa, Tusshar decided to play a prank on Amrita Arora. He told the diet-conscious actress during her lunch break: Oh God Amrita don't eat so much. You have really put on weight and so please don't eat this burger. He then made Amrita look into a mirror. She was so upset that she skipped dinner that day too! And even though Tusshar told her that he was only joking, she was still really angry with him. |

| Vivek Oberoi While he was shooting for Dum with Diya Mirza's on her birthday, Vivek asked all those on the sets not to wish her. Till entire team followed his plan and at night, a sad, sobbing Diya was ready to leave, complaining that it was her birthday and nobody wished her. Then Vivek took her in a room where the entire crew showered her with colorful balloons as they sang Happy Birthday. An emotional Diya cried with happiness. |

| Shahid Kapur While shooting for his second film Fida, Shahid played a thoughtful prank on producer Ramesh Taurani. He got the production assistant to tell Ramesh that the star has issues with director Ken Ghosh and so shooting was stalled. Ramesh tried talking to his cast and crew, but they would not give him any answers. The concerned producer then immediately went down to the sets. As soon as he entered the unit, everyone present started singing 'Happy Birthday'. It was Ramesh Taurani's birthday and Shahid planned the whole thing to surprise him. |

| Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif It all happened during the shooting of Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani in Ooty. Katrina complained to Santoshi about Ranbir stamping on her foot and not bothering to apologise. She threw a fit, forcing Santoshi to go to Ranbir and tell him that his behavior was unacceptable. He added that since Katrina was senior to him, Ranbir should apologise to her. Ranbir promptly walked up to Katrina and touched her feet, indicating that she was 'elder' to him. Upset at being called 'elder', Katrina was trembling again and stormed to Santoshi. To prove that she was younger than Ranbir, she called up Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir's father, to check on Ranbir's age. Santoshi was quite fed up when both the actors refused to calm down despite his repeated requests. Eventually, Ranbir and Katrina couldn't control themselves any longer and burst out laughing. It was only then that Santoshi realised that he had fallen prey to their prank. |
