The Aamir actor will host Indian Moment Of Truth, not SRK

It seems that Rajeev Khandelwal and not Shah Rukh Khan, will host the Indian version of the bold and popular American TV show The Moment of Truth. Big Synergy (headed by Siddharth Basu) will produce the Indian version of the show.

Our source reveals, "Rajeev Khandelwal will host the show. Shooting for the initial episodes has begun in Madrid, Spain.

The contestants on the show will be celebrities; actors, politicians and sportspersons among others.

Interestingly, the contestants on the international version are people who lead ordinary lives."

Strength-tester

Says Siddharth Basu, "Pre-production of the Indian version of Moment of Truth is on by Big Synergy for Star Plus, and will shortly go on the floors.

A pilot was shot in Madrid, on the sets of the Spanish version of the show, and focus tested here in India.

We are looking for candidates, celebrities or otherwise, who have lived a full life, and who are open, courageous, and honest enough to see how far they can go with the truth.

Ours is a truly revealing show going into the hearts and minds of those brave enough to face the truth of their thoughts and actions.

The questions are very personal and will test the strength of a person's honesty, values and relationships."

When asked if SRK showed an interest in doing the show (as some reports stated), he replies, "If Shah Rukh showed interest in hosting the show, I'm not aware of it."

On being prodded about the prize money on offer, he cryptically states, "The rewards for telling the truth on difficult questions are handsome."

He remains tightlipped about other details surrounding the show, only adding, "The host, size of the prize, time and schedule of telecast will be announced in due course of time by the channel."

Our source says the show is expected to air sometime early June, this year. It is also learnt that the contestants on the opening episode will include Vinod Kambli and Urvashi Dholakia.

The Moment of Truth is an American game show based on the Colombian Nada mas que la verdad format ("Nothing More than the Truth").

Contestants answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive cash prizes.

I am really Happy Srk isn't doing the show. It would be really interesting to see Rajeev back on Small screen, he was good in one show Deal ya no Deal? Show can be interesting, depends on the audience. I heard the show is Banned in USA, since it was becoming TOO Personal.

I sorta liked the show .. it was entertaining .. dunno how indias version will do.

The American Version of the show did became quite controversial and the Indian version won't even dare to pose the type of questions that the original had (For eg; they asked a woman contestant if she thought that her husband was the best lover she has ever had. Her husband looked shocked out of his life, sitting in the audience...the lady very wisely chose not to answer and quit the game!)

It will be a much milder, watered down version in India, so don't know, if they would be able to keep it as interesting as the original! (Most likely, they might ask a man if he really likes his wife's cooking or not?😆)
