I just heard it on HT.

Normally we have seen ASh not coming out and clarifying anything or giving comments on any controversies surrpunding her.

But this time I think the water has gone over her head and she must have thought it is time to set the record right.

She wrote a legal letter to News Channels in which I guess she stated:

"I can still be the Barbie. They have come to me for three times in last 5 years but due to my other commitment I was unable to do it. MAttel Toys are in talks with me for the first Indian Barbie. Yes they asked me to walk the ramp for fashion week but I told them that I am not freee and am shooting for Action Replay with Akshay Kumar."

So when Ash refused to walk in Lakme fashion (in that tiny skirt which for me is NOT INDIAN at all), on the ramp. The very next day went knocking on the door of Katrina and she grabbed the offer just in one day. Maybe tooo eager to fit in Ash's shoes and get free publicity on her name. The MAttel Toys are also playing games with Ash. They are hitting where it hurt the most. They also mentioned Salman's name in it too (which I do not remember Why).

I find all this thing too belittling. Mattel taking it out on Ash by doing this? Well good for Ash who sent a letter saying that.

I guess she is easy target for such things.
Just think about it - Katrina getting to be the Indian Barbie(sic) will not be a headline whereas Kat replacing/dethroning Aishwarya will certainly create ripples in all the major Indian Networks and Tabloids.
They will spend hours discussing how the Ash stock is going down and the reason behind it etc instead of concentrating on the actual news of the day.

Exactly.

The problem is not who is getting Barie but the problem is Marketing people know how to get the market value for their product. They know that news channel would keep on telecasting their news over and over again if they take this route.

Why every time when Katrina gets something they bring Ash.

Why evertime Ash refuses any product they go and get KAtrina out of all the other actresses.

the company who is making the doll is very clever but i dont see what connection kat and ash have besides salman, lovanika is right them two are always dragged into some kind of war

but i dont see what the big deal is about the doll

They're showing Barbie war on Aaj tak right now. I am sure this is not the end of it. Aaj tak did a poll & the results were 55% Indian people wanted Kat 40% said Ash & 5% said both should be barbie doll. I perosnally like Ash because she suits the Indian look, she looked beautiful as Jodhabai.
