‘Benjamin Button’ to be hacked by Aish & Akki

The Curious case of Benjamin Button is all set to be hacked and ravaged by Bollywood - Akshay Kumar is on board to star in a remake of the Oscar winning movie. The story remains the same - the protagonist is born an old man and becomes younger with the progression of time. Of course the film makers strongly believe it has no connection with Benjamin Button and that their film is just a romantic comedy, not at all similar to the English flick.The Bollywood movie, named 'Action Replay', stars Aishwarya Rai with Akshay.

In the film, Akshay starts off as an old man of 62, but grows younger to a college-going dude of 26 years of age. Since the movie would require meticulous make-up work, Shah is learnt to be in talks with Hollywood make-up expert Paul Pattison.It can be recalled that even 'Benjamin Button' won two Oscars this year, for Best Make-Up and Best Visual Effects. Let's just hope they don't go all 'Chachi 420' on us.

The movie's shooting is expected to begin this month and it might release by the end of 2009. Akshay and Shah have already worked together in a number of films, but a concept as unique as 'Action Replay' is the first time they are venturing into an unexplored territory.
