She has the face to carry off a bold colour like pink; in fact, she'd got it right at Cannes.

This apology of a dress, however, just makes her look like a tubby ball of lard. On second thoughts, the dress looks all right. I can see it look stunning on some star who has the right body to carry it off. It's just that Ash has gone past being just 'flabby' and is now decidedly plump - especially her arms and shoulders. If she still harbours any Hollywood aspirations, she needs to hit the gym with a vengence and knock off all the flab.

She could take a few tips for starlet Freida Pinto, who turns out impeccably dressed nine out of ten times. 😃

yeah Freida debuted in a movie that was made by a Hollywood major studio, no one had heard of her before, people didn't have preconceived notions about her or speculated on her personal life or anything.. no one had any expectations from her..

plus she got a Hollywood stylist to choose her ensemble every time (that i can tell because she dresses just like any other Hollywood starlet), people have no reason to bash her..whatever she would wear people would go ga ga over her because she is fresh she is new..

had she been a known person in India and had been in a few movies then did that role in SM, people would have been a lot more critical of her..

and no i don't think Ash should ask Freida for any tips because we don't even know how she'll do without her stylist..

lets wait for the Slumdog hysteria to slow down then it will be a real acid test for Freida..if she can move forward and do something with her career and see what kind of movie roles she will be going for...

^^All the same, had Freida turned up dressed shabbily at awards, people would have slated her off.

It's not about how far Freida will go as an actress, it's just that she has enough sense to hire a good stylist and not end up dressed badly.

It's not always the stylist; I attribute some credit to personal sense of style also. Some Hollywood celebrities too (who have all the access to the best stylists) dress horribly. I mean, the same brands are available to all, why then do only a precious few dress well and the others badly? Ash's personal style sucks, so she'd do well to rope in a good stylist.

first of all I was never talking about Freida's movie career.. i was strictly talking about their fashion. Freida has jst found stardom, she doesn't have any background wat so ever still she is making all the right moves. She is not making fool out of herself in interviews nor is she dressing up weirdly. She is doing very well for herself as a newbie...! And I was talking about E news and Hollywood media going gaga over freida, they could care less if she is fresh or not..they are going gaga caz Freida is presenting herself amazingly!

Plus Aish can hire any designer she wants , hollywood , bollywood, tollywood for all she wants...she has more fame and power to hire anyone. But it's not about that , it's about getting it right..and Aish has had this problem for a long time, she is not the best person to seek fashion tips, and i am sure even she agrees to it.

This pink dress of her would have looked perfect on her if she still had the body which she had for Dhoom 2...bt that's not the case!
