Well, if you are thinking that we are referring to the self censoring of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming Friday release, BILLU BARBER, to just BILLU, you are wrong! What we are talking about here is the real censoring of the film by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
CHECK OUT: Lara's 'chai' soaked sarees for BILLU!
As per our trade sources, Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.'s BILLU, starring Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta and Shah Rukh Khan (in an extended special appearance), has been rated a social and given a 'U' censor certificate (C.C. No. CIL/1/12/2009) that is a universal certificate, with zero cuts. The length of the film is 3914.87 metres in 16 reels.
That BILLU has been given a universal certificate by the censor board comes as no surprise as the movie is an out and out healthy entertainer with lots of emotional contents thrown, which makes BILLU a perfect family fare, like most of Priyadarshan's films. Trade predicts a good to decent opening for BILLU, which should pick up by good word of mouth, but a lot will depend upon the length and placement of SRK's portions in the film.
